  • Publication number: 20190063192
Abstract: A method includes storing a first data structure associated with estimating a state of a drilling apparatus or operation based on data from a plurality of measurement devices. The method further includes receiving measurement data associated with a subset of the plurality of measurement devices. The method further includes, in response to determining that the subset does not include one or more measurement devices of the plurality of measurement devices, transforming the first data structure into a second data structure based on identities of the one or more measurement devices. The second data structure is associated with estimating the state of the drilling apparatus or operation based on data from the subset. The method further includes, based on the measurement data and the second data structure, generating an estimation of the state of the drilling apparatus or operation and a confidence value associated with the estimation.

  • Patent number: 9709980
Abstract: Method, system and computer software for diagnosing a compressor. The method includes generating a feature vector of the compressor, the feature vector of the compressor including components describing states of various parts of the compressor; determining, based on fuzzy constraints, an aggregated anomaly vector corresponding to the feature vector; defining rules for a preset list of possible faults/failure modes of the compressor; calculating a corroborating measure between the aggregated anomaly vector and the rules; and identifying a fault/failure mode of the compressor based on a result of the corroborating measure.

  • Patent number: 9460071
Abstract: In a computing device that defines a rule for natural language processing of text, annotated text is selected from a first document of a plurality of annotated documents. An entity rule type is selected from a plurality of entity rule types. An argument of the selected entity rule type is identified. A value for the identified argument is randomly selected based on the selected annotated text to generate a rule instance. The generated rule instance is applied to remaining documents of the plurality of annotated documents. A rule performance measure is computed based on application of the generated rule instance. The generated rule instance and the computed rule performance measure are stored for application to other documents.

  • Patent number: 8923580
Abstract: Certain embodiments of the present invention provide methods and systems for determining a hanging protocol for display of clinical images in a study. Certain embodiments provide a machine learning hanging protocol analysis system. The example system includes an image processing module to process image data to provide one or more features. The example system includes a learning engine to receive processed image data and additional data to learn and adapt a hanging protocol for repeated use by applying one or more machine learning algorithms to the processed image data and additional data. The learning engine is to continue to refine an available selection of candidate layouts based on the processed image data and additional data to provide one or more layout choices for selection to form a hanging protocol for display of image and other data.

  • Publication number: 20140236530
Abstract: Systems and methods include a device and an algorithm for measuring adherence to various activity goals (e.g., time-based goals) and collecting ad-hoc game metrics using accelerometers or other sensors. Some embodiments can provide reduced computational, memory, or communications costs over conventional algorithms. In one embodiment, the resulting reduced battery usage can enable a device that is long-lasting, without the need for frequent recharging. This reduction, in turn, can enable the device to be sealed with limited or no external access. Another embodiment can include or interact with social networks and other online data sources to improve activity recognition.
