  • Patent number: 5667468
Abstract: A sideweld bag making machine utilizing a rotary transfer device and wicket conveyer is equipped with screw adjustable transfer wicket pins. The bases for the transfer wicket pins are mounted on a threaded rod having two sections of thread, each of opposite hand. Rotation of this threaded rod affects the separation of the wicket pins. Adjustment of vertical position is accomplished by means of two jacking screws or a screw adjustment in conjunction with a motion limiting rail element.

  • Patent number: 5618147
Abstract: A sideweld bag making machine equipped with a rotary bag transfer device and wicket conveyer utilizes a modified wicket stacking plate and transfer wicket pins to effectively place the bags on permanent wickets as they are stacked on the wicket conveyer. Stacking bags directly onto this permanent wire wicket avoids the need for the operator to transfer the stacked and counted bags from transfer wicket pins to permanent wire wickets as part of the bag packing operation.

  • Patent number: 5234208
Abstract: A document feed apparatus is provided which feeds document sheets from a stack of sheets seriatum to a position remote from the stack. Two motor driven feed belts are pivotally mounted to contact or not contact a top sheet of the stack. The belts are driven by separate motors which are activated or deactivated depending upon the top sheet position.

  • Patent number: 4719810
Abstract: A drive mechanism for raising and lowering the placement head of an electrical component assembly machine, the mechanism having a servo motor driving a lead nut engaging a lead screw which carries the placement head. The servo motor, in response to the machine control, rotates the lead nut to lower the placement head the desired distance from the board for proper placement in the board. A pair of rollers contact upper flat surfaces on the lead screw to prevent axial rotation of the lead screw.

  • Patent number: 4615089
Abstract: A high performance machine for selecting electronic components from magazines containing a variety of configured components, each magazine having means indicative of the particular configured components contained in the magazine for providing signals for controlling the setting of component conditioning and inserting devices for operating on each component according to its particular configuration.

  • Patent number: 4586237
Abstract: A cut-clinch mechanism for cutting and forming the leads of electronic components inserted into the openings in a printed circuit board, the mechanism having a fixed cut-clinch head supporting a movable cut-clinch head with a bi-directional drive means for incrementally moving the heads toward and away from one another to accommodate variable spaced component leads.

  • Patent number: 4516310
Abstract: A mechanism for cutting and clinching spaced leads of variously sized electrical components which leads have been inserted through preselected openings in a printed circuit board either by a manual insertion or automatic insertion. The cut-clinch mechanism has a housing adapted to be moved toward and away from the underside of the board, the housing carrying a fixed cutting and clinching head and a movable cutting and clinching head positioned by a drive mechanism that is program controlled for each given component inserted into the board to properly space the movable cut-clinch head from the fixed head so that the leads of the variously sized given components can be automatically cut and clinched.

  • Patent number: 4450619
Abstract: A high performance machine for selecting electronic components from magazines containing a variety of configured components, the components in each of the magazines have a different center line spacing from the center line spacing the components of each of the other magazines, each magazine having control unit indicating the particular configured components contained in the magazine for providing signals for controlling the setting of component conditioning and inserting devices for operating on each component according to its particular configuration.

  • Patent number: 4425947
Abstract: A mechanism for cutting and clinching a long lead of an electrical component where the cut-clinch head is displaced from its support surface a sufficient distance to accommodate a long lead, the head support being mounted for rotational movement and adapted to coact with a X-Y table carrying a substrate so that a single lead of a multiple lead component can be cut even though there is minimal clearance between the component leads. Further, after such a single lead has been cut, the head support can be repositioned to cut a second lead regardless of whether that lead is properly aligned.

  • Patent number: 4422583
Abstract: A wire feed control device having driven rolls to pull wire from a reel type wire source, the driven rolls pass the wire through a housing, with the wire coacting with a control to the roller drive so that as the wire is accumulated in the housing, the control is operated terminating the drive to the rollers until wire is removed from the housing. The wire source also has dampening means to inhibit rotation of the reel of wire.
