  • Patent number: 4351149
Abstract: The machine has a framework (1) with a rotation drive, spinning stations, a yarn withdrawal unit (2) and yarn winding devices (3) disposed thereon. Each spinning station comprises a fibres feed unit (4) and a spinning chamber (5), having a housing (14) installed on the framework (1) so that it can be withdrawn from the fibres feed unit (4). The yarn withdrawal unit (2) comprises a driving shaft (22) mounted on the framework (1), and pressing rollers (23), which in operating position are resiliently pressed to the driving shaft (22) and can be withdrawn from said driving shaft. Each yarn winding device (3) is mounted at a respective spinning station and comprises a bobbin carrier (27) and a yarn spreader (28). According to the invention each pressing roller (23) is mounted on the housing (14) of the respective spinning chamber (5), and each yarn winding device (3) has operative connection (31) with the housing (14) of a respective spinning chamber (5) to disengage and engage the rotation drive.

  • Patent number: 4316314
Abstract: A pressure roll of a drafting device comprises a cylindrical casing and a sleeve of an elastic material having flanges. The sleeve is mounted in a spaced relationship to the casing, the flanges of the sleeve are bent toward one another and each flange has two portions of which one portion extends at an angle to the generatrix of the cylindrical casing and the other portion extends in parallel with the generatrix of the cylindrical casing and is secured to the cylindrical casing so that a satisfactory elasticity of the roll along the entire length of its working surface is ensured.

  • Patent number: 4301574
Abstract: The invention relates to sliver condensers and may be most advantageously used in mechanopneumatic spinning machines. The sliver condenser has a casing provided with a passage which narrows in the direction of sliver flow. Opposite projections are internally provided over the entire length of the passage to extend at an angle to the longitudinal axis of the passage, the projections crossing one another.

  • Patent number: 4296528
Abstract: The drawing mechanism comprises a housing accommodating a feed couple defined by a pair of endless belts. One endless belt is mounted about a driving cylinder, and moves in engagement with a movable guide and transmits motion to the other belt running about the pressure roller of the feed couple and said other belt moves in engagement with a stationary guide, and the drawing mechanism also includes a delivery couple defined by its own driving cylinder and its own pressure roller. At the inlet of the feed couple there are mounted a guiding member and a compacting member adapted to precompact the fibrous product being fed into the feed couple. The pressure roller of the delivery couple and the pressure roller of the feed couple, the stationary guide of the feed couple, the compacting and guiding members are mounted on a common removable plate provided with an adjustable retainer means for retaining the common removable plate in its position.

  • Patent number: 4288889
Abstract: The invention contemplates a method for separating fibers fed in the form of fibrous material, wherein the material is pinched in the cross-section in such a manner that the pinching action is applied to fibers spaced from one another at a certain distance. Simultaneously, the velocity of fibrous material is substantially increased so that individual fibers are pulled out. An apparatus for carrying out the method comprises an outlet pair of rolls having an appropriately profiled cylindrical roll.

  • Patent number: 4280252
Abstract: The double-apron drawing mechanism includes a feed couple of rollers and a delivery couple of rollers, with the fibrous material being treated passing between the two endless aprons or belts of the feed couple, synchronously rotated about the driven and pressure rollers. One endless apron engages a stationary guide extending longitudinally of the travel of the fibrous material, while the other endless apron engages a movable guide arranged adjacent to the area of exit of the fibrous material from the feed couple toward the delivery couple. The movable guide is mounted for infinite angular adjustment in vertical planes extending both transversely and longitudinally of the travel of the fibrous material, to provide for infinite adjustment of the gap between the endless aprons in the area of exit of the treated fibrous material from the feed couple.
