  • Patent number: 4678076
Abstract: A transfer assembly of a belt conveyor comprises a discharge drum of the conveyor rigidly secured on a frame at the discharge end of the conveyor. Also on the discharge end of the conveyor is hinged a deflector shield which has a curvilinear portion whose concavity faces the discharge drum and is located after the drum along the conveyor belt movement. The shield has an entry portion located before the discharge drum along the conveyor belt movement. A support is secured rigidly to the frame at the discharge end of the conveyor. Two rods are hinged by first ends to the support, the rods being positioned one after the other along the conveyor belt. The other ends of the rods are hinged to the shield so that the distance between the first ends does not exceed the distance between the other ends of the rods.

  • Patent number: 4651867
Abstract: An apparatus for discharging free-flowing and viscous materials from a belt conveyor comprises a discharge end of a conveyor having a discharge roll. a frame means is provided at the discharge end of the conveyor and supports a guide means provided downstream the discharge roll. A feed funnel-like means is provided on the frame means under the guide means. A tubular guide member made of a flexible material in the form of a hollow cylinder has one end thereof secured to the funnel-like means and is made with a longitudinal cut extending along the whole length thereof. The tubular guide member has means for interconnecting the extremities of the cut extending along the whole length thereof on either side of the cut, said means being disengageable when the load thereon becomes greater than a predetermined value.

  • Patent number: 4650065
Abstract: A belt conveyor having a frame located inside whereof are two lengthy pliable members which are interconnected by medial idlers. A plurality of side idlers are supported on fulcrum pins which make each an angle with a plane through the pliable members and are conneted to these members with provision for displacement integrally therewith in a vertical plane. Linking means are also provided for which connect each to the respective fulcrum pin with one end so as to make an angle therewith and are pivoted each to the frame at the outward sides of the pliable members with the other end with provision for unobstructed swinging in a plane perpendicular to the axis of the conveyor. Said pivoted joints are located substantially not below a plane through the pliable members.
