Patent number: 8756864Abstract: A slideable and pivotable door assembly configured to selectively permit passage through an opening between a first side and a second side of the opening. The slideable and pivotable door assembly has a normally fixed door panel arranged to cover a first portion of the opening when in a normally closed fixed position. The door assembly also includes a slideable door panel slidable relative to the fixed door panel. The slideable door panel is slidable between a 1) closed position wherein the door panel covers a second portion of the opening and 2) an open position wherein the second portion of the opening is uncovered. A first pivot structure enables pivotal movement of the normally fixed door panel upon a pivoting actuation and a second pivot structure enables pivotal movement of the slideable door panel at any position relative to the normally fixed door panel while the normally fixed door panel remains in its normally fixed position.Type: GrantFiled: September 16, 2011Date of Patent: June 24, 2014Assignee: Stanley Black & Decker, Inc.Inventors: Larry Hamaker, Prasad Sahasrabudhe, Michael A. Patent number: 8523534Abstract: A high-pressure pump for supplying fuel to an internal-combustion engine has a pump body and an actuating shaft which extends along a longitudinal axis and which is supported rotatably about the longitudinal axis by the pump body. The shaft has an eccentric portion and a prismatic jacking end. A first pumping station has a gear engaged with the prismatic jacking end and a second pumping station has at least one piston. The piston is slidable relative to the pump body transversely with respect to the longitudinal axis and is actuated by the eccentric portion of the actuating shaft. The prismatic jacking end is made of a harder material than the material with which the remainder of the actuating shaft is made.Type: GrantFiled: June 11, 2008Date of Patent: September 3, 2013Assignee: Robert Bosch GmbHInventors: Vito Spinelli, Antonio Grimaldi, Nello Medoro

Patent number: 8443549Abstract: A door assembly includes a track, a track header, a fixed door panel, at least two sliding door panels, a pivot mechanism, and a lock arrangement. The sliding door panels are slidably movable on the track between (1) a closed position wherein the sliding door panels are extended across the track, and (2) an open position wherein the sliding door panels are constructed and arranged to be in a compact, overlapping relationship with each other and the fixed door panel. The pivot mechanism is constructed and arranged to enable pivotal movement of the track with fixed door panel and the two sliding door panels mounted thereon about a pivot axis from a normal configuration to a breakaway configuration. The lock arrangement is constructed and arranged to releasably lock the track with respect to the track header to prevent pivotal movement of the track away from the normal configuration.Type: GrantFiled: March 8, 2010Date of Patent: May 21, 2013Assignee: Stanley Black & Decker, Inc.Inventors: Michael Arthur Salvietti, Thomas M. Kowalczyk, Dwight Edward Reed, Daniel R. Seymour, Michael A. Zabbo, Vito A. Spinelli, Ronald Bohigian

Patent number: 7845922Abstract: The invention relates to a vane pump comprising a rotor which is arranged therein, rotatably driven by a drive shaft. The rotor is provided with several grooves which are distributed through the circumference thereof and which extend substantially radially with respect to the axis of rotation of the rotor. In each groove a blade-shaped conveying element is slidingly guided. The end walls of the pump housing are adjacent to the rotor in the direction of the axis of rotation thereof. At least one ring-shaped groove surrounding the axis of rotation of the rotor is embodied in at least one front side of the rotor. The ring-shaped groove is connected to lower areas restricted by the blades in the grooves of the rotor, and to pressure areas. In a preferred embodiment, the ring-shaped groove is formed in the rotor by shaping.Type: GrantFiled: September 11, 2006Date of Patent: December 7, 2010Assignee: Robert Bosch GmbHInventors: Christian Langenbach, Arno Lorenz, Rocco Guarino, Vito Spinelli
