  • Publication number: 20240351932
Abstract: A system water purification system comprises first and second mixing reactors, first and second flotation reactors and first and second filters all serially and fluidly connected in a flow direction of the water as well as an electrolyzer. Electrochemical synthesis of the reagents takes place in the cathode and anode chambers of the electrolyzer, respectively. Moreover, the electrochemically synthesized catholyte and anolyte are dosed into the water kept in the first and second mixing reactors, respectively. Then the mixtures in the first and second mixing reactors are mixed. After that, the flow of the treated water leaving the mixing reactors is passed through the first and second flotation reactors and afterwards through the first and second filters downstream of the first and second mixing reactors.

  • Patent number: 11306402
Abstract: Device for obtaining electrolysis products from an alkali metal chloride solution where a cathode circuit contains a circulation pump with an overflow device for the return flow of pump liquid, which continuously secures the forced circulation of the catholyte via a heat exchanger, a cathode compartment and a capacitive separator for separating the hydrogen from the catholyte. In the discharge of the hydrogen from the capacitive separator for separation of the hydrogen from the catholyte, a cooled humidity separator is installed, the condensate collection container of which is connected via a dosage pump with the freshwater feed to the mixing device of the freshwater flow with the gaseous oxidant mixture.

  • Publication number: 20070261954
Abstract: The invention relates to chemical engineering, in particular to devices for electrolyzing aqueous solutions of alkali or alkali-earth metal chlorides and for obtaining gaseous electrolytic products such as chlorine and oxygen. It can be used for water purifying and disinfecting processes and for electrochemically producing some chemical products. The inventive device includes at least one electrochemical reactor (1) comprising from 2 to 16 electrochemical cells. Lines for supplying and discharging cathode and anode chambers are embodied in the form of pipelines having an inner diameter equal to or less than 0.5 of the interelectrode distance and lengths which are equal to or greater than 2 Ld, wherein the interelectrode distance is an anode-to-cathode distance and Ld is the cathode length.
