Abstract: A method of dynamically updating a reported maximum power consumption for a site is provided. The method includes determining an initial MPC for the site based at least in part on a power consumption of the plurality of computing systems each operating at full power at a respective steady state temperature and reporting the initial MPC. The method further incudes operating the plurality of computing systems at full power at the steady state temperature and then actively reducing power consumption of one or more computing systems of the plurality of computing systems. The method includes determining a reduced MPC based at least in part on the reduced power consumption of the one or more computing systems and reporting the reduced MPC and then actively increasing power consumption of the one or more computing systems. An intermediate MPC is determined, and then a new steady-state MPC is determined and reported.
