  • Publication number: 20070216855
Abstract: Spectacles are described which include a mounting and respective lenses and also strap interconnector for retaining the lenses on the mounting. The strap interconnector is capable of at least partially surrounding the lens and being secured to the mounting in order to retain the lens on the latter. The strap interconnector includes, for each lens, a single strap segment with at least two lengths of segment having a different cross-section. The profile of the section of one of the lengths is defined by a first and a second profile part. The first profile part is capable of being retained in a respective groove of the mounting. The second profile part of the section is capable of engaging a peripheral flute provided in the lens thickness. The profile of the cross-section of the other strap length has substantially the shape of the second profile part such that the corresponding strap length surrounds the lens, engaging the flute.
