Abstract: A device and method may predict the likelihood of a customer service interactions. The method may include selecting a plurality of customer accounts, and determining events over at least one predetermined time period that are associated with each customer account from the selected customer accounts. The method may include determining risk values associated with the determined events, and generating a combined risk score for each customer account based upon the associated risk values. The method may further include assigning, for each customer account, a risk level associated with a likelihood of each customer interacting with a service representative. The method may also include determining that the risk level assigned to a customer account indicates a high likelihood of a customer interacting with a service representative, and then performing an action to automatically reduce the likelihood of the customer interacting with a service representative.

Abstract: A computing device receives a request for data, the request including criteria for data requested to be provided to the client device. Via a service configured to retrieve the requested data, at least some of the criteria are transmitted to a staging data store that includes transactional data. Via the service, data relevant to at least some of the criteria transmitted to the staging data store is received from the staging database. The data received from the staging database is stored in a data structure included in the computing device. At least some of the data stored in the data structure is transmitted to a client device.

Abstract: An approach for providing enhanced data retrieval with improved response time is described. An enhanced data retrieval platform may retrieve data associated with multiple accounts from multiple database records within multiple databases, wherein each database record of the multiple database records is associated with a different type of information. The enhanced data retrieval platform may further create a single database entry for each account of the multiple accounts based on the retrieved data. The enhanced data retrieval platform may also compress the single database entry. Additionally, the enhanced data retrieval platform may store the compressed single database entry in a cache.

Abstract: An approach for providing intelligent load balancing between data centers is described. A load balancing platform monitors a replication delay associated with the replication of data between a first data center and a second data center, and determines to halt access to the data at the second data center if the delay satisfies a threshold delay value. The platform determines to allow access to the data at a second data center if the replication delay does not satisfy the threshold delay value.

Abstract: A device is provided that includes a processor to: receive current billing information associated with an account of a customer; receive prior billing information associated with the account; compare the current billing information with the prior billing information; determine whether an inaccuracy exists in the current billing information based on the comparison; determine whether an inaccuracy exists in the current billing information due to improperly applied promotional information to the account; determine whether an inaccuracy exists in the current billing information due to an improperly applied set of rules to the account; correct, when one or more inaccuracies exist in the current billing information; the one or more inaccuracies; and create a final bill for the account based on the current billing information and the corrected one or more inaccuracies.

The method may further include receiving a balance amount, associated with the customer order, from the billing system; determining whether the balance amount is less than a balance threshold; and sending a message to a fulfillment system to fulfill the promotion, when the balance amount is less than the balance threshold.
