  • Publication number: 20200005566
Abstract: A vehicle access system having a plurality of system nodes arranged throughout a vehicle is disclosed. The vehicle access system employs a communication protocol which utilizes two way ranging (TWR) and time distance of arrival (TDoA) localization processes to determine a position of a target portable device. The communication protocol selects the optimal combination of TWR and TDoA estimations, depending on a number of system nodes that are in communication range of the target portable device, to provide the greatest accuracy with the best power efficiency at the target portable device. Particularly, the communication protocol minimizes the number of messages sent and received by the target portable device, thereby improving the power efficiency thereof. Furthermore, the communication protocol schedules messages between the system nodes and target portable device so as to minimize the wake time of the target portable device, thereby further improving the power efficiency thereof.

  • Publication number: 20190087746
Abstract: Methods for automatic and intelligent incident routing are performed by systems and apparatuses. The methods intelligently optimize routing of incidents to correct owners from a pool of many possible owners by utilizing learning models and algorithms based on feature vectors. Users provide information related to incidents of services or systems. The information is cleaned and featurized to generate a feature vector for the incident. The systems and apparatuses intelligently and automatically determine sets of candidate recipients based on outputs of algorithms, e.g., machine learning algorithms, such as classifiers using the feature vectors as inputs. Classifiers may utilize models or algorithms trained with featurizations used for feature vectors. Sets of candidate recipients are provided to users for selection of a recipient for the information from the set of candidate recipients instead of from all the possible recipients.

  • Publication number: 20180317100
Abstract: In one embodiment, a diagnostic device determines signal strengths of two antennas of a multi-antenna device. When the signal strength of each of the two antennas is unacceptable, the diagnostic device provides a recommendation to adjust each of the two antennas. Alternatively, when the signal strength of a first antenna of the two antennas is unacceptable while the signal strength of a second antenna of the two antennas is acceptable, the diagnostic device provides a recommendation to adjust the first antenna. However, when the signal strength of each of the two antennas is acceptable, but a difference between the signal strength of a first antenna and a second antenna of the two antennas is greater than a threshold, then the diagnostic device determines a weaker antenna with weaker signal strength between the first antenna and the second antenna, and provides a recommendation to adjust the weaker antenna.

  • Publication number: 20180270250
Abstract: Access to a secure resource is controlled. Data relating to social media history information, demographic information, and psychometric information regarding a user having access to a secure resource is mined by a computer system. Mined data that indicates a potential security risk that meets a predefined security criteria with respect to the secure resource is identified by the computer system. A security risk level based on the identified data is determined. A level of access to the secure resource by the user computing device is set, based on one or more predetermined threshold values that are met, in response to a determination regarding such. Access is granted to the secure resource in accordance with the set level of access, in response to receiving a request to access the secure resource by the computer system.
