  • Patent number: 10395020
Abstract: An apparatus includes a smart wallet and a mobile device. The smart wallet includes a first body defining an enclosure, a first biometric sensor, and a first processor to unlock a portion of the first body to allow access to the enclosure responsive to validating a biometric input from the first biometric sensor. The mobile device includes a second body having an attachment interface for removably coupling to the first body and a second processor. The second processor is to send a signal to unlock the portion of the first body based on a user input on the mobile device.

  • Patent number: 10262278
Abstract: Systems and methods differentiate and uniquely identify electronic devices to enable their virtual interaction with an augmented reality device. According to certain aspects, an augmented reality device can differentiate between electronic devices in an environment that have a substantially similar appearance. A user can subsequently use the augmented reality device to virtually interact with the uniquely identified electronic devices. An improved user experience and greater user satisfaction with the augmented reality device may result through the use of these systems and methods.

  • Publication number: 20190098452
Abstract: A method, a system, and a computer program product for configuring output devices of a wearable device based on a detected orientation and body location of the wearable device. The method includes measuring at least one orientation input from at least one orientation module of a wearable device. The method further includes analyzing, via a processor of the wearable device, the at least one orientation input to determine a body location of the wearable device and a current orientation of the wearable device at the body location. The method further includes configuring at least one output device of the wearable device for operation in the current orientation at the body location.

  • Publication number: 20190065984
Abstract: A method and electronic device for detecting and recognizing autonomous gestures in a monitored location. The method includes receiving, at a processor, data collected by a user device. The data includes at least one coordinate that is indicative of a geographic location of the user device and corresponds to at least one specific movement of the user device. The method includes determining, by a processor, whether the geographic location of the user device is an identified, monitored location, in which user activities are monitored. In response to the geographic location being an identified, monitored location, the method includes determining which specific movements are presented by the coordinate. From a database, the method includes identifying a performance of a specific operation that correlates to the coordinate. The method further includes performing a second operation, based, in part, on an identified specific operation that is being performed in the geographic location.

  • Publication number: 20180239939
Abstract: Methods are disclosed for reading and displaying dynamic machine-readable optical representations of data. An example method includes: capturing a current frame of a plurality of frames with an optical sensing device, wherein each of the plurality of frames comprises syncdata and a portion of a data payload; decoding the syncdata and the portion of the data payload of the current frame, using a processor operatively coupled with the optical sensing device; storing the portion of the data payload of the current frame in a memory operatively coupled with the processor; determining whether all of the plurality of frames have been captured, based on the decoded syncdata, using the processor; if all of the plurality of frames have been captured, combining each stored portion of the data payload into the data payload, using the processor; and, if all of the plurality of frames have not been captured, repeating the above steps.

  • Publication number: 20170344777
Abstract: Systems and methods determine a swipe direction of an object on an electronic device to enable the performance of actions in response to the determined swipe direction. The swipe direction may be determined with respect to a biometric authentication sensor of the electronic device. According to certain aspects, signals that indicate the presence of an object may be received from proximity sensor(s) and/or a biometric authentication sensor. The swipe direction of the object may be determined based on the signals. An action may be performed on the electronic device in response to determining the swipe direction. An improved user experience of the electronic device may result through the use of these systems and methods.

  • Publication number: 20170244716
Abstract: Apparatuses, methods, and program products are disclosed for accessing a network. One method includes receiving, at a second information handling device, a request from a first information handling device for access to a network accessible via the second information handling device. The method also includes determining, based on the request, whether the first information handling device is trusted by the second information handling device. The method includes determining network credentials including a username and a password for accessing the network in response to the first information handling device being trusted. The method also includes transmitting the network credentials from the second information handling device to the first information handling device.
