  • Publication number: 20240322576
Abstract: A battery charger includes a housing defining a first end, second end, front side, rear side, top side, and bottom side. The housing also defines a first support structure to selectively couple to a battery pack and a second support structure to selectively couple to the battery pack. The housing further defines a first air inlet located in the front side and a second air inlet located in the rear side. The housing also defines a first air outlet located in the first end and a second air outlet located in the second end. Charger electronics are supported in the housing and operable to output a charging current to charge the battery pack. A fan is operable to generate an airflow through the housing. The airflow extends from the first air inlet and the second air inlet to the first air outlet and the second air outlet.

  • Publication number: 20230318316
Abstract: A portable power supply for charging power tool battery packs. The portable power supply includes a battery core including a plurality of battery cells and a converter, a first modular charger block received in a first charging slot and connected to a first charging port, a second modular charger block received in a second charging slot and connected to a second charging port and a third charging port, and a controller including an electronic processor. The controller is configured to determine that a first battery pack is received by the first charging port, determine that a device is received by the second charging port, determine a first characteristic of the first battery pack, and provide a first current to the first battery pack based on the first characteristic and a second current to the second battery pack based on the device being received by the second charging port.

  • Publication number: 20230097967
Abstract: A battery pack charger includes a housing, a plurality of battery receptacles supported by the housing each configured to receive a battery pack, a plurality of output power supplies, a plurality of charging circuits configured to transmit power from one of the plurality of output power supplies to one or more of the plurality of battery receptacles, a plurality of switches included in the plurality of charging circuits, and a controller. The controller is operable to receive signals from charging circuits that are indicative of battery packs being received by each of the battery receptacles, control the plurality of switches to one of a first position or a second position based on the input, and provide one of a first output power and a second output power to each of the battery pack receptacles.
