Abstract: Features described herein generally relate to an electronic device and a method for activity detection. Particularly, an electronic device can be detected as being in a docked mode and/or a tablet mode. In the docked mode, activity can be detected based on a first detector. In the tablet mode, activity can be detected based on a second detector. The activity can be classified as corresponding to an activity type and a display screen of the electronic device can be updated based on the activity type.

Abstract: A peripheral nerve stimulation through magnetic fields using a wearable, non-invasive, and mobile device using targeted magnetic stimulation. The magnetic stimulation system can be used to target different areas of pain including back pain, breast pain and knee pain. The device will be battery powered and include electronics to generate a varying current through a coil which will emit a varying magnetic field. This varying magnetic field freely travels through human tissue and couples with peripheral nerves which are electrically conductive.

Abstract: An electronics subassembly for a computing device that receives a pressing force from a user is disclosed. The electronics subassembly is mounted in the computing device using fasteners that are aligned parallel to the pressing force to prevent unwanted flexure of the electronics subassembly. The orientation of the fasteners requires holes to be form in a direction that is not suited for a standard tool. As a result, the manufacturing method includes forming the holes through an aperture in a sidewall of the housing of the computing device so that the bulk of the tool used for drilling is not constrained by the interior dimensions of the housing.

The multi-functional port may include an audio input device that can receive and process external audio input signals through an opening in the base housing. The multi-functional port may include a light source that can output light through the opening in the base housing. The multi-functional port may include a microphone boot. The microphone boot may guide external audio input signals into to the audio input device for processing. The microphone boot may also guide light, emitted by the light source, out of the base housing.

Abstract: A patient reference device is provided for use during a medical procedure. The patient reference device includes a housing having a back side and a front side, at least three tracking markers attached to the front side of the housing, the housing extending around the at least three tracking markers and beyond a horizontal plane defined by tops of the at least three tracking markers, the housing terminating at a substantially continuous edge, and a sterile cover attached to the substantially continuous edge of the housing for covering the housing and the tracking markers.
