    Abstract: A new and improved stone setting is disclosed that supports the stone with an invisible setting comprising a notch on a facet of the stone with a portion of an upwardly extending support bracket extending into the notch and forming an interference fit therewith. The notch is generally V-shaped with an upper surface and a lower surface. The stone setting does not require support from a sidewall or a prong.
