  • Patent number: 9705806
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed to communicate data between wireless access point with one or more low priority queues; one or more high priority queues; a quality of service (QoS) queue coupled to the low and high priority queues; a fairness counter; and a buffer coupled to the fairness counter and the QoS queue to map buffer mapping to the QoS queue when the fairness counter expires, the method including performing an association request for fairness scheduling; and injecting a low priority packet in a transmit opportunity of the high priority queue.

  • Patent number: 9014087
Abstract: A method and system for an access point assisted active roam scanning includes first and second access points, a switch and a client device. The switch communicates with the first and second access points that operate in a communication network, each access point having a respective operating area. The client device, within the first operating area, includes a wireless transceiver broadcasting first and second probe requests to the first and second access points, respectively, the second probe request being broadcast without receiving a probe response to the first probe request. The first and second access points generate first and second probe responses in response to receiving the first and second probe requests. The switch receives the first and second probe responses and generates a consolidated probe response as a function of the first and second probe responses.

  • Publication number: 20100124881
Abstract: A device includes a wireless transceiver and a memory storing a database. The database includes identification information of one or more secured wireless networks. When the device attempts to establish a wireless connection, the wireless transceiver attempts to connect to the one or more secured wireless networks prior to attempting to connect to further networks.
