  • Patent number: 11894824
Abstract: Laser-marked packaged surface acoustic wave devices are provided. The laser-marked packaged surface acoustic wave device may include a package structure encapsulating a surface acoustic wave device on a first side of a piezoelectric substrate. The opposite side of the piezoelectric substrate can be directly marked using a laser. The laser may be a deep ultraviolet laser. By directly marking the piezoelectric substrate itself, the use of a separate marking film can be avoided, making the packaged surface acoustic wave device thinner. When the laser has a wavelength readily absorbed by the piezoelectric substrate, a relatively shallow marking may be made in the piezoelectric substrate. The markings can extend less than 1 micrometer into the piezoelectric substrate, so as not to affect the structural integrity of the piezoelectric substrate or the operation of the packaged surface acoustic wave device.

  • Patent number: 11888799
Abstract: A user may use a client device to create a draft document by interacting with a server. The user provides an image in a message (e.g., a multimedia messaging service (MMS) message) from a different device. The server receives the image and modifies the draft (e.g., by updating a web page being displayed on the client device). This process allows the user to type text for a draft using a client device that includes a keyboard (e.g., a desktop or laptop computer) and to add an image to the draft using a second device that includes a camera (e.g., a mobile phone or tablet computer) without having to transfer the image from the second device to the first device.

  • Publication number: 20240029153
Abstract: A merchant's mobility data from their mobile device and their purchase history from a wholesale supplier may be used for underwriting a business loan. The mobility data may be analyzed into several descriptive statistics, which may characterize, in a sense, the person's behavior patterns. A merchant's purchase history from a wholesale supplier may be analyzed to estimate several business performance statistics. The estimated performance statistics and the mobility statistics, when combined, may generate an insightful and very accurate profile of a borrower. A machine learning system may use statistics derived from purchasing history as well as mobility information to accurately calculate a confidence score, which may reflect a loan applicant's likelihood of fully repaying a loan. The confidence score may be compared to a threshold value to determine whether to grant or deny a loan. The threshold value may be dynamically updated to meet a loan portfolio's financial objectives.

  • Patent number: 11878123
Abstract: A device (102) provides respiratory treatment for SDB (including mild OSA) and other respiratory conditions. A flow generator warms and humidifies gas at controlled flow levels. For example, the device (102) delivers breathable gas to the upper airway at flow rates of about 10-35 Liters/minute. Levels of flow rate, temperature and/or humidification of the device may be automatically adjusted in response to the detection of SDB events. The device may also automatically deliver adjustments of any of the levels in accordance with detected phases of respiratory cycles. In some embodiments, the device automatically delivers distinct levels to either of the nares based on independent control of flow to each nare. A warm-up procedure controls temperature and humidity at a desired target during a ramp-up of flow to the set therapy level. A cool-down procedure controls temperature above the dewpoint to avoid condensation internal to the device and patient interface.

  • Publication number: 20240004682
Abstract: Techniques for de-centralized execution of workflows are disclosed. A system executes a sequence of jobs in a workflow. Each job includes application code to perform a defined set of functions. Each job includes wrapper code at one or both ends of the application code. The system executes the sequence of jobs by iteratively spinning up a virtual machine, loading workflow data to be used by application code, executing the application code, and storing modified workflow data. The virtual machine executing one job triggers the next virtual machine to execute the next job in the workflow, without scheduling the next job by a centralized job scheduler. Upon spinning up the next virtual machine, a virtual machine executing a preceding job shuts itself down.

  • Publication number: 20230420121
Abstract: A method for remotely updating the behavior and state of a medical device or the firmware itself of a medical device, not requiring physical access to the device, that occurs through an encrypted and authenticated communication channel. The behavior and state of the device may be modified from a healthcare provider interface through a transmission method. The firmware of the medical device may be modified by the use of over the air device firmware updates, created from a designated secure machine called a build machine described herein. Both actions are transmitted to a server and then forwarded to a companion device and are particularly designed so that the server never stores sensitive cryptographic material in the event of server compromise. The companion device forwards the update to the medical device, which decrypts and validates the update or command before performing the change.
