  • Publication number: 20230396665
Abstract: Systems and method for streaming video content include downscaling video content using a downscaling model to generate downscaled video content and downloading the downscaled video content as a video stream and corresponding upscaling model to a client device. The system converts received video frames to a video memory format comprising channels having the same memory allocation size, each subsequent channel arranged in an adjacent memory location, for input to the downscaling model. The client device upscales the video stream using the received upscaling model for display by the client device in real-time. A training system trains the downscaling model to generate the downscaled video content, based on associated metadata identifying a type of video content. The downscaled video content and associated upscaling models are stored for access by an edge server, which downloads upscaling models to a client device to select an upscaling model.

  • Patent number: 11294505
Abstract: A sensor driver comprises a receiver and an interference mitigation element. The receiver is configured to acquire a resulting signal from a sensor electrode. The interference mitigation element is communicatively coupled with the receiver and is configured to receive interference data, generate an interference estimate from the interference data and a transfer function, and communicate the interference estimate to the receiver. • Patent number: 9838156
Abstract: Systems and methods for performing efficient blind decoding. A first plurality of decision metrics corresponding to a first repetition of periodic decoding information is stored. The first plurality of decision metrics is grouped into sequential portions. A plurality of combined versions of the sequential portions is stored into combining buffers arranged in sequence. Each combined version is associated with a different sequence of timing information. A first of the plurality of combined versions stored in a first of the combining buffers is combined with a second version of a second plurality of decision metrics that corresponds to a second repetition of the periodic decoding information. The second version is associated with timing information adjacent in the timing information sequence to the timing information associated with the first combined version. The data is decoded based on information in the combining buffers.

  • Patent number: 9596615
Abstract: A wireless communication device including an interference module and a feedback generation module. The interference module is configured to detect interference on a communication channel, identify types of the interference detected on the communication channel, and provide information about the types of the interference detected on the communication channel. The feedback generation module is configured to receive a request, from a transmitter, for feedback about a condition of the communication channel, and, based on the request and the information about the types of the interference detected on the communication channel, determine a measurement region of the communication channel, generate the feedback about the condition of the communication channel using measurements taken, by a receiver, in the measurement region as determined by the feedback generation module, and provide the feedback to the transmitter.

  • Patent number: 9444537
Abstract: A device including a transmitter, a receiver and an arbiter. The transmitter transmits a first signal. The first signal has a fundamental frequency in a first frequency band of a first wireless protocol. The receiver receives a second signal. The second signal has a fundamental frequency in a second frequency band of a second wireless protocol. The first frequency band is adjacent to or at least partially overlaps the second frequency band. The arbiter allows the transmitter to transmit the first signal in the first frequency band while the receiver receives the second signal in the second frequency band. The arbiter also, if a power level of the first signal is less than a first threshold, changes: a modulation and coding scheme of the transmitter for the first signal; a modulation and coding scheme of the receiver for the second signal; or a multiple input and multiple output rank.

  • Patent number: 9277421
Abstract: Systems, methods, and other embodiments associated with estimating noise in a receiver device based on related properties of order statistics are described. According to one embodiment, a method includes generating an initial set of magnitude squared values from a time domain impulse response of a receiver device. The method also includes generating an initial noise power estimate based on a modified set of magnitude squared values and generating a threshold value based on the initial noise power estimate. The method generates a final noise power estimate by averaging values of the initial set of magnitude squared values that are less than the threshold value and removing a thresholding bias from the resulting average.
