  • Publication number: 20120308737
Abstract: The invention concerns a method for antiseptic processing of the surface of a product made of organosilicon rubbers with molecular weight 2·105?6·105, said method consisting in a two stages formation of an antiseptic coating on said surface of said product: (a) at a first stage said surface is modified by treatment in low-temperature oxygen plasma at high-frequency electromagnetic radiation; and (b) at a second stage the modified surface is processed applying on it an antiseptic preparation containing: a biocide, which is a nanodispersed powder of bentonite intercalated by ions of silver or/and copper; a fluoroacrylic polymeric binding agent, wherein said binding agent is dissolved in a mixture of fluoroalkylethers. The method provides the formation of a coating having effective antiseptic and operational properties especially when the coating is applied on the surface of small orthopedic devices such as foot-correctors, insoles, heel pads, etc.

  • Publication number: 20120282161
Abstract: A process for the production of biocides possessing fungicidal and bactericidal properties is described wherein bentonite is activated with ions of sodium and the obtained intermediate product is intercalated by ions of metals of bactericidal action such as Ag+, Cu2+, Zn2+ by reaction in water solutions of inorganic salts of these metals, under the action of ultrasounds having a frequency of 20-50 Khz and intensity of 10-100 WT/cm2.

  • Publication number: 20120183626
Abstract: The invention concerns antiseptic ointments for external application comprising, as a basis, pharmaceutical Vaseline or a mix of pharmaceutical Vaseline with lanoline, and, as the antiseptic agent, a dispersed bentonite powder intercalated by one or more metal ions selected in the group consisting of Ag+, Cu2+, Zn2+. In addition the ointment contains an etheric vegetable oil. More precisely the active antiseptic agent may be: a dispersed bentonite powder intercalated by ions of Ag+ or by ions of Cu2+ or by a mix of said bentonites. According to an anternative the antiseptic dispersed bentonite powder may be intercalated by ions of Ag+ and Zn2+ or by ions of Cu2+ and Zn2+ or by ions of Ag+, Cu+ and Zn+. In any case the total content of metals in the composition of ointment is comprised between 0.05-0.5%. The ointments according to the invention are biologically compatible with various integuments of humans and animals and provide a prolonged antiseptic action at low expenses.

  • Publication number: 20120052105
Abstract: This invention concerns biocides possessing fungicidal and bactericidal properties which can be used in construction, medicine and other various areas of technics. A nanostructural composition of biocide is realized from nanoparticles of bentonite powders intercalated by ions of Zn2+ and ions of Ag+ and/or ions of Cu2+. The biocides according to the invention are prepared starting from bentonite poweder which is preliminarly enriched with cations of Na+, then treated with 10-20% solutions of inorganic salts of Zn (preferably zinc chloride or zinc sulfate ZnSO4), and from bentonite powders preliminarly enriched with cations of Na+ and then treated with 10-20% solutions of inorganic salts of at least one ion selected in the group consisting of Ag+ ions (preferably silver nitrate) and Cu2++ ions (preferably copper sulfate). The powders of bentonite, intercalated with the Zn2+, Ag+ and/or Cu2+ ions, are .cleaned from acid anions and Na+ salts, and dispersed into nanoparticles mainly of no more than 70 nm.
