  • Publication number: 20090034544
Abstract: State-based communication stations are capable of operating on two or more “states.” Principles of the present invention are used to allow the functionality that a multi-state communication station is equipped to change as a result of the current state of the station. The functionality of modern communication stations remains much less hindered by the physical limitations of the stations' physical construction and design. While the number of buttons in a communication station remains the same, the number of functions that such buttons may execute is multiplied by the number of “states” that exist for the station.

  • Publication number: 20060259761
Abstract: A modified PKI encryption method and system provides improved security of information being transmitted between a sender system and a receiver system. An intermediate system which transfers the information between the sender and receiver systems can be configured to encrypt unencrypted information sent by the sender system. The intermediate system can be configured by a user of the sender system so that unencrypted information sent by the sender system is encrypted prior to being delivered to the receiver system. Alternatively, a user of the receiver system can configure the intermediate system to encrypt unencrypted information it receives from a sender system prior to the intermediate system storing the received information.

  • Publication number: 20060195913
Abstract: A method for the remote registration of a person's property rights over copyrighted media items: A remote registration of property rights over copyrighted media items is conducted by comparing the characteristic attributes of the person's items with the characteristic attributes of the items stored in the item database, by a system of a processing center, a means for the remote claiming of property, and a remote proof of ownership of media items. The remote registration is conducted on the person's property items, based on which the property rights over these items are acknowledged and benefits entitled to these property rights are granted to the owner. These benefits include, notably a transfer of a free digital copy of the media item protected by digital rights management (DRM) to the owner.
