  • Patent number: 5040458
Abstract: A device which performs the lifting and throw-off of an impression cylinder in a printing machine, comprises a first supporting pin (1) which carries a gate (2) that is provided with a run-out path (4) and stop (3). Upon disengagement of the impressional forces, the stop is in engagement with a first projection (6) on a first catch (7), which is swingably mounted on a second supporting pin (15), fixed in a side plate (16) of the machine. A connecting tie rod (9) is fastened to the first catch (7) by a pin (8), and another end of the connecting tie rod (9) is connected, by a second pin (10) to a second catch (11), mounted slightly turnably on a basic pin (28). The second catch is provided with a second projection (12), which becomes engaged with stop (3) of gate (2), upon engagement of impressional forces, and against the run-out path (4) which bears against an operating roller (13 ) of a driver (14).

  • Patent number: 4786043
Abstract: Feeding device for feeding paper sheets from a pile, particularly in offset printing machines. The device has a driving mechanism, the operation of which is controlled by three sets of two cams in precise intervals according to the program of operation of the printing machine. All control mechanisms have their operation motions designed separately in such manner, that each mechanism is controlled by one set of two cams. The advantage of the said feeding device consists in that the control mechanism perform precise operations in accordance with the program of operation even at high printing speeds, because they are controlled bilaterally by the set of two cams and double rollers without employing spring elements to cause cam followers to remain in contact with cam surfaces.

  • Patent number: 4736938
Abstract: An improved suction feeder, particularly for printing machines is disclosed, wherein higher feeding and printing speeds are made possible. The main features of the invention is that in the body of the suction feeder is a small conduit channel and an air filling small channel which connect an inleading small channel for the bringing of pressurized air into an empty space over a small piston. In the said small conduit channel is formed a pressure spring in the upper part of said small conduit channel, and a seat in which a small ball is placed on the other end. The above described suction feeder works on the principle of the difference of air pressure above and below the small piston. While individual paper sheets are being lifted from a pile of sheets, the pressurized air is led into the empty space over the small piston, by which it instantaneously neutralizes the remaining depressurized air, leading to an instantaneous loosening of the paper sheets.
