    Abstract: A method of editing a video container format file. The method comprises displaying media content hosted in a video container format file stored in a segment of a memory of a client terminal, receiving editing instructions indicative of changes to the media content, adding and/or activating video editing objects with the editing instructions to the video container format file while the video container format file remains stored in the segment, and decoding the video editing objects and the media content. The decoding is performed by editing the media content according to said editing instructions in the video editing objects.
