  • Patent number: 3942377
Abstract: An electromagnetic flowmeter comprising an alternating current magnetic system embracing a section of a pipeline with electrodes attached thereto for removing potentials proportional to the flow rate of the medium and a metering circuit for converting the signals from the electrodes to an output signal proportional to the flow rate of the medium, characterized, according to the invention, in that the pipeline has additional electrodes attached thereto for removing potentials proportional to the eddy currents in the medium, with the metering circuit being made as a comparison circuit whose one input is connected to the main electrodes and the other to the additional electrodes.
