  • Publication number: 20090276192
Abstract: A method, a system and a computer program product for visualizing feature model information. The method includes: (i) receiving a feature model that comprises multiple features, an architecture model that comprises multiple architectural elements, and information representative of features implemented by the architecture elements; and (ii) generating a hybrid model that comprises architectural model elements and visual indicators representative of feature model semantics.

  • Publication number: 20080155564
Abstract: A system and method for event correlation and adaptive rules optimization in the context of a trouble ticket resolution system. The adaptive rules optimizer incorporates learning principles that achieve a high degree of automation while leaving control in the hands of an operator. To mitigate the effects of possible errors, the adaptive rules optimizer switches from hard decisions to soft decisions. The tickets in the queue and their related events are prioritized to mimic the best practices introduced by the support team handling the given problem, to take into account the business impact so that at each point in time the operator's work provides maximum overall benefit and to provide all auxiliary information that may be instrumental in the problem resolution process.

  • Patent number: 7266571
Abstract: A method and system for scheduling event transactions each having a respective time stamp, for use in an event-driven application. Possible time dependencies among events are resolved according to predetermined event rules associated with the events so as to allow determination as to when the event transactions may be processed. This allows the event transactions to be dispatched to distributed processors for concurrent processing.

  • Publication number: 20040128305
Abstract: A system for providing services for gathering data in an event driven environment. Upon occurrence of one or more events in an event source, the system includes means for receiving the events in a event repository and means for transmitting an event message to a data warehouse. Upon receipt of the events in the event repository, the system includes means for activating an event activator, the event activator for causing an event transmitter to transmit the event message. The system further includes means for evaluating search conditions; and means for causing, when the search conditions are true, the event transmitter to transmit the event message.
