Abstract: An educational device for teaching humanistic values to a child is in the form of a toy manufactured with at least one recognizable abused condition or defect. The toy is packaged and marketed with repair apparatus enabling a child to permanently substantially eliminate the abused condition and effective upon completion of the repair to leave permanent visual reminder of the original abused condition.

Abstract: A device for detecting, monitoring, displaying and recording a representation of the heartbeats of a pregnant woman and her fetus. The heartbeat of each is monitored. Detecting of the woman's heartbeat activates a display of a representation of the heartbeat and enables circuitry which displays a representation of the detected fetal heartbeat. Preferably two different types of sensors are used, for example an infra-red sensor for the woman's heartbeart and an audio sensor for the fetal heartbeat. The displays can depict hearts pulsating at rates corresponding with the respective heartbeats, or can present numerical displays of the heartbeat rates. In addition, a third sensor can detect movement of the fetus and can activate a display of a moving infant or a numerical display of the movement intensity or frequency. A combination of any of these displays can be presented. Signals representative of the detected heartbeats and movement can be recorded for later playback.

Abstract: A toy having an element which forms a message such that a person under its influence feels an urge to fall asleep, and a sending element which senses a signal from the person when he or she does not sleep and then activates the message forming element, so that the latter not only tells stories or fairy tales but also puts a user to sleep. One of the messages can be a lullaby. The toy can also be actuated by the pulse beat of the user, and the pulse beat data can be displayed so that the toy simultanesouly serves as a medical instrument.

Abstract: A stethoscope has a body part, a display forming element, and an electronic device which forms on the display an image of expanding and contracting heart. Also, an electronic device which generates audio signals can be provided. The image and the audio signals can be formed without any connection with heart beat of a person whose heart activity is monitored, thus serving only entertaining and distracting purposes. On the other hand, the image and the audio signals can be formed in response to and in correspondence with heart beat of a person whose heart activity is monitored so as to provide an additional visual and audio information about his or her heart activity.

Abstract: A doll heart monitoring toy includes a doll element, a stethoscope element, an electronic device operative for producing signals imitating at least one characteristic of heart activity and arranged in one of the elements, and a magnetic member arranged to activate the electronic device upon bringing the magnetic member in proximity to the electronic device, or in other words upon bringing the stethoscope close to the heart region of the doll. The electronic device including a sensor and signal generators for activating a sound device and a light device in response to the sensor sensing pulse beats of a user.

Abstract: A cigarette has a front tobacco-containing part composed of a tubular member of cigarette paper and a tobacco filler, a rear part extending rearwardly from the front part and having a filter, and a tubular coating extending around at least one fourth of the length of the front part from the rear end of the latter, so as to extinguish the cigarette when the flame reaches this region and prevent smoking of the cigarette in this region. The tubular coating is formed of one piece with a tubular connector which connects the filter with the tobacco-containing part of the cigarette.

Abstract: An umbrella unit has a housing, an umbrella with a protecting elements, a drive for opening and closing of the protecting element of the umbrella, and another drive for turning the umbrella into the housing and out of the housing. It can be mounted on a car and the like in the region of its doors to protect from rain car users during leaving and entering of the car and the like.

Abstract: An umbrella holder stores the umbrella in a closed position and ejects the umbrella into an opened position. Thus, if mounted in an automobile it can be operated from within to prepare an open umbrella for a passenger so that it can be used immediately without getting wet. Also, the umbrella is stored conveniently back in the holder from outside the car. Manual, automatic or semi-automatic controls eject the umbrella and reposition the umbrella in the holder for storage. Also the open umbrella may be closed and stored from inside the car, by automatic means.
