  • Patent number: 4605247
Abstract: A device for sealing the detachable joints of tubing elements in pneumatic transport facilities comprises two flanges one of which is rigidly affixed on one of the tubing elements, while the other flange (2) is mounted with a clearance (a) on the other tubing element (4), is kinematically coupled with a mechanical actuator (5) so as to be traversed lengthwise the other tubing element (4) and has a contrivance to hermetically seal up the joint between said other flange (2) and said other tubing element. The kinematic coupling of the other flange (2) with the mechanical actuator (5) is effected through a frame (6) mounted with a possibility of oscillating within the amount of the aforementioned clearance about pivot pins (11) located outside the outline of the other flange (2). The other flange (2) is mounted on the frame (6) through two hinge joints whose pivot pins (14) are situated on the opposite sides of the flange in a plane passing through the geometric axis of the tubing element (4).

  • Patent number: 4588330
Abstract: A device for starting and braking containers and locking them after they are stopped, used in pneumatic conveyors and comprising a frame (1) which successively mounts a sleeve (2) and a trough (3) adjoining a pipe-line (4) and having recesses (8, II) made at the opposite sides and serving as guides for support members of a truck (10) having a drive (12, 13, 14, 15) to move it along the guides and carrying a lever clamp (21) interacting with the container (20) and a cup (23) secured thereon and overlapping the cross-section of the pipe-line (4). An additional cup (28) overlapping the cross-section of the sleeve (2), rigidly coupled with the truck (10) and provided with support members disposed in the recesses (11) of the sleeve (2) is mounted in the sleeve (2) at the side of its butt end facing the trough (3).

  • Patent number: 4170944
Abstract: An arrangement for transportation of cargoes in containers along a closed loop track having at least two spaced handling stations each station having a zone of reception of containers and a zone of delivery of containers, each portion of the track connecting the zone of delivery of one handling station to the zone of reception of an adjacent handling station comprising a pipeline communicating, via air admission pipes, with a source of compressed air for moving the containers, and each container having at least one sealing member closing the cross-sectional area of the pipeline. The zone of reception of each handling station comprises a portion of the track permanently communicating with atmosphere and inclined in the direction of movement of containers, and the zone of delivery of each handling station comprising a portion of the track permanently communicating with atmosphere and an independent drive for moving the containers along this portion of the track.
