  • Patent number: 5140878
Abstract: The bar-pusher actuation device for bar feeders applied to machine tools includes a linear actuator composed of a chain with which the bar-pusher is associated and which is closed around a pair of fixed pinions and a pair of gearwheels which are movable with respect to the pinions. The pair of gearwheels is mounted on a slider which is slidable parallel to the direction of advancement of the bar. The slider is actuated by a jack adapted to perform a reciprocating stroke which substantially corresponds to the length of the portion of bar to be machined.

  • Patent number: 5058466
Abstract: The device for inserting polygonal and shaped bars in the collet of the chuck of machine tools comprises a bar pusher element arranged inside a bar guiding channel and a motor element connected to a worm screw which cause sliding of a slider rigidly associated with the bar pusher. The device has a spring mounted in abutment against the worm screw and adapted to be compressed when the bar rests frontally on the collet of the rotating chuck, so as to absorb the thrust of the motor and to press the bar against the collet, and a motor switch activated by the compression of the spring until the rotation of the chuck causes the chuck to be brought angularly in step with the bar and the bar to be inserted in the collet.

  • Patent number: 5017074
Abstract: Bar loader for a multi-chuck machine including a star-shaped structure for supporting a plurality of bar guides, equal in number to the chucks of the machine and openable to receive a bar at a loading position arranged laterally to the structure. One the side of the structure opposite to the one for loading the guides there is a bundle-like magazine which is capable of delivering a group of bars which, by an elevator, are deposited on a sorter which extends transversely below the structure. At the exit from the sorter, a second elevator lifts each individual bar to the loading position where a pusher transfers it to a respective guide.

  • Patent number: 4977801
Abstract: The multiple-channel guiding device for bar-loaders of automatic machine tools comprises an elongated body, peripherally defining a plurality of grooves with different diameters and being rotatable about its own longitudinal axis so as to move one of the grooves to a loading position aligned with the work axis of the machine tool; a plurality of covers co-operating with the grooves so as to define, in their closure position, respective guiding channels for the bar to be machined, the covers being openable to insert the bar; a chute for inserting the bar in the guiding channel arranged in loading position; a bar pusher element slidably actuated inside the channel to advance the bar toward the machine tool.

  • Patent number: 4914992
Abstract: The device comprises a box-like body inside which two shoes are slideable and are actuated in opposition. A shoe is compsed of a plate which has a guiding opening for a gib of the other shoe. Brackets are rigidly and protrudingly associated with the top of the gib and with the lower end of the plate and bear respective jaws which are adapted, in jaw closure position, to define a guiding duct for a bar and, in opening position, a passage for the bar-pusher. The opposite actuation of the shoes is actuated by a shaft controlled by a fluidodynamic jack having arms which bear wheels acting between the bracket supported by the gib and a protrusion of the plate.

  • Patent number: 4914993
Abstract: The device for controlling the facing of a bar on an automatic lathe for machining bars, comprises a bar-pusher actuated by a traction element to cause the advancement of a bar towards the lathe, a carriage slideable on a guide parallel to the traction element, a hook for intercepting the carriage in a bar loading position, a clutch adapted to keep the bar-pusher rigidly associated with the carriage when the carriage is free to slide on the guide and to allow the bar-pusher to move with respect to the carriage when the carriage is intercepted. The hook is controlled by a sensor adapted to detect the end of a bar to be machined at the entry point of the lathe and to control the hook during free sliding of the carriage. A further sensor is provided to actuate the bar-pusher in the bar facing position.

  • Patent number: 4776200
Abstract: The guide channel structure comprises a plurality of sectors arranged side by side and having coaxially to support said bars respective pairs of jaw-like elements defining openable seats. The seats have different diameters substantially corresponding to the diameters of bars to be guided, and are individually selectively closeable or openable to permit the passage of smaller or larger diameter bars therethrough.

  • Patent number: 4624611
Abstract: The box-like elongate main housing or body for automatic bar loaders/feeders comprises a lower portion carried on a bed and an openable upper portion. Each portion is comprised of an inner half-jacket, an outer half-case, and an intervening blanket of a sound-deadening and cushioning material. The two portions are arranged for sealed closure to enclose in the cavity defined between the half-jackets thereof a longitudinal bar guide, the cavity being connectable to a filling and oil lubricating system.

  • Patent number: 4366610
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for inserting bars into a tube, in particular the so-called bar guide tube of a lathe. The device comprises a carriage mobile parallel to a guide arranged to support a bar in a position aligned with the tube. The carriage is provided with an appendix which intersects the guide, such that during a first stroke of the carriage, said appendix thrusts against the rear end of the bar in such a manner that this latter becomes partly inserted into the tube. The carriage also comprises a bar thrust rod mounted mobile relative thereto so that it can be disposed along the guide and aligned with the bar, so that the bar becomes completely inserted into the tube during a second stroke of the carriage.
