  • Patent number: 7194065
Abstract: Method and apparatus for adjustment of the entrance dose of a radiology apparatus of the type containing a means of X-ray beam emission, a means of detection of the X-ray beam after it has crossed an object having to be visualized, and a means of visualization connected to the means of detection, in which the distance between the means of emission and the object is estimated and, when the distance between the means of emission and the object or the distance between the means of emission and the means of detection varies, the entrance dose is modified according to said distances in order to maintain an appreciably constant equivalent dose in the plane containing the object, the distance between the means of emission and the means of detection being known.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 7106894
Abstract: For each acquired current image, the displacement of said current image is determined relative to the acquired preceding image in the image acquisition plane, a displaced preceding filtered image is elaborated by spatially displacing the preceding filtered image, taking said displacement into account, and the current filtered image is elaborated by the weighted average between the acquired current image and the displaced preceding filtered image, so as to improve the quality of the images visualized.

  • Publication number: 20030195411
Abstract: The invention concerns a method and system for simulating the diameter enlargement of a lesion of a blood vessel by means of an endovascular prosthesis. A three-dimensional simulated image is visualized, showing the result of interaction between the lesion and the endovascular prosthesis after deployment of the latter. The three-dimensional simulated image visualized is the superposition of two three-dimensional images, a first three-dimensional simulated image showing the endovascular prosthesis deployed, taking into account the resistance of the lesion, and a second three-dimensional simulated image showing the enlarged lesion following the deployment of the endovascular prosthesis.

  • Publication number: 20020006185
Abstract: A method and system for automatic positioning of a radiology apparatus the type comprising an X-ray emission means capable of emitting an X-ray beam in a so-called viewing direction, and an X-ray reception means, the positioning being carried out in relation to an object to be X-rayed, in which a first direction is determined, a first cone angle of displacement relative to the first direction that is less than the first angle is determined, the viewing direction being calculated so that the image quality will be superior to what would be obtained with a viewing direction parallel to the first direction.

  • Patent number: 6332014
Abstract: A method for improving the quality of a fluoroscopic image where the image out of an image sequence of images which satisfies a predetermined minimum motion criterion is stored and this stored image is continuously displayed. The images may be acquired using a pulsed cardiac fluoroscope.

  • Patent number: 6175613
Abstract: The unsharpness of a radiological image is estimated by four independent passes which recursively implement the same exponential function, and the unsharpness (Idk−1) estimated for the previous image (IMk−1) is subtracted from the current image (IMk).

  • Patent number: 6133950
Abstract: When the display system is calibrated, digital test image delivered as input to system provides a resulting image perceived the human eye as being composed of a plurality individual elements which themselves are composed two grey levels and have the same contrast from element to another.
