  • Publication number: 20170127302
Abstract: Methods and devices for maintaining a device-operated function. A first device initially operates as an active master with responsibility to execute the device-operated function by automatically performing one or more operation tasks according to certain operational parameters and gaining knowledge when performing the operation tasks. Meanwhile, a second device is acting as a passive standby device. When the first device cannot or should not operate as the active master anymore, e.g. due to low battery, the responsibility is transferred to the second device by transferring the operational parameters and the knowledge from the first device to the second device. Then, the second device operates as the active master with responsibility to execute the device-operated function according to the operational parameters and using the knowledge if required.

  • Publication number: 20170055310
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to capillary network gateway, CGW 12a, 12b, selection in a capillary network. In particular, the present disclosure relates to methods and arrangements for linking a machine device, MD 11, operating according to a local area radio access technology, RAT, in a capillary network, to a cellular network via a CGW 12a, 12b, wherein the capillary network comprises a plurality of CGWs that each have a connection to the cellular network. A plurality of MDs 11 is connected via a local area radio access technology, RAT, of the capillary network to the CGWs 12a, 12b which in turn are connected to respective radio base stations, RBSs, 21a, 21b of the cellular network. An MD 11 may be capable of setting up a link to the cellular network by means of multiple CGWs and thus a selection of CGW should be performed prior to establishing the link.

  • Publication number: 20160338142
Abstract: The disclosure provides for acquiring information related to a DRX configuration that is preferred by a Capillary Network Gateway (CGW) for a capillary network and selecting a DRX configuration, based on the acquired information, to be applied by a Radio Access Network (RAN) node to substantially match said preferred DRX configuration. The selected DRX configuration can be signaled to the gateway such that the gateway can adapt, or configure, its DRX configuration accordingly. Also, the selected DRX configuration is applied, or otherwise utilized, by the RAN node. This way, also the RAN node applies the DRX configuration that is preferred by the gateway for the capillary network. Hereby it is made possible to achieve a sufficient synchronization of the DRX configurations utilized by the gateway and the RAN node, respectively. Consequently, this may allow for a synchronization of the DRX configurations of the capillary network and a 3GPP network.

  • Publication number: 20160219348
Abstract: A method and monitoring centre (304) for supporting supervision of events in a monitored area (300) based on sensor data (D) reported by sensors over a communication network (302). When the monitoring centre (304) detects an abnormal event (E), it identifies a set of sensors (S1-S3) which are potentially impacted by the event, and also identifies network nodes (N1-N3, BS) that are able to communicate sensor data reported by the identified sensors (S1-S3). The monitoring centre (304) then instructs (In) the identified network nodes to promote the communication of sensor data reported by the identified sensors. Thereby, transport of the sensor data will be enhanced and it will arrive promptly and properly at the monitoring centre, to enable any watching staff to take notice and evaluate the abnormal event as soon as possible.

  • Publication number: 20160196738
Abstract: A method and monitoring centre for monitoring occurrence of events in a monitored area, where a monitoring equipment displays information that reflects sensor data reported from sensors in the monitored area. When the monitoring centre detects an abnormal event, it identifies a set of sensors which are potentially impacted by the event, and triggers the sensors to enter a vigilance state of elevated operation and to deliver enhanced sensor data. Further, a representation of the abnormal event is auto-zoomed on the monitoring equipment based on the enhanced sensor data from the sensors to increase resolution of the displayed representation.

  • Publication number: 20160007294
Abstract: A method of authorizing a message received at a node in a wireless network is disclosed. The message from a sender device is formed by a plurality of symbols and includes a first message integrity indicator located at a predetermined distance from the start of the message such that further symbols of the message are included after the first message integrity indicator. The position of the first message integrity indicator in the message is determined, and a cryptographic operation is performed on at least some of the symbols of the message before the first message integrity indicator so as to generate a second message integrity indicator before the first message integrity indicator is received. The first and second message integrity indicators are compared, and an indication that the message is not authorized is provided if the second message integrity indicator does not match the first message integrity indicator.

  • Publication number: 20130046751
Abstract: A method and arrangement in a server (300) for providing information about statements of a web resource (A) published on the internet by a first internet host and a second internet host. The server may be associated with an owner of the web resource. A registering module (300a) registers said statements and corresponding identifications of the first and second internet hosts. A storing module (300b) then stores registered statements and host identifications in a web resource usage record (R). When a receiving module (300c) receives a request (Rec) for information on the web resource, a delivery module (300d) delivers a response (Res) based on the stored statements and host identifications. The response indicates that the registered first and second internet hosts are logically linked by referring to the same web resource (A).
