  • Patent number: 5570720
Abstract: A single-lever mixer valve for liquids, for example hot and cold tap water. The valve comprises a housing, which is provided with an inlet for each of said liquids and a common outlet. A lever is provided for controlling the amount and the temperature of the liquid flowing out through the outlet. The lever is connected to an actuator in the valve housing that cooperates with a valve member. The lever includes an adjustable spring loaded stop to provide a temporary increase of fluid flow when pressed against a stop surface. The actuator is provided with a built-in closing damper, including at least one sealed chamber and a movable piston for forcing an amount of fluid from the chamber via a throttling member when the lever is closed. When the fluid pressure in the chamber exceeds a certain value, the throttling member is elastically deformed and pressed progressively against a sealing face in the actuator for reduction of hydraulic shock waves related to rapid closing of the mixer valve.

The closing damper includes at least one sealed chamber and a movable piston for forcing an amount of fluid from the chamber via a throttling member when the lever is closed. When the fluid pressure in said chamber exceeds a certain value, the throttling member is adapted to be elastically deformed and pressed progressively against a sealing face in the actuator.

  • Patent number: 4708172
Abstract: A device at mixing valves for liquids for example hot and cold water, and of the kind that comprises a valve housing (11), which is provided with an outlet (21) and an inlet (20) for each of the liquids, an operating member (13) for regulating the amount and temperature of the liquid flowing out through the outlet, the operating member being designed as a double-armed lever rotatable about a vertical as well as a horizontal axle (16) and the longer arm of which consists of a handle extending outside the housing (11) and the shorter arm of which consists of an actuator (15) arranged inside the housing, arranged to co-operate with a valve member (18), at which said actuator is provided with a stop part (23) co-operating with a stop face (24) for limiting the maximum out flow of liquid.

  • Patent number: 4304358
Abstract: A thermostatic mixing valve is provided comprising a thermostat body arranged in an elongated housing and actuating an axially displaceable control member, which regulates the inlet areas for the warm and cold water. The control member cooperates with a sleeve member for regulating one of the inlet areas. The sleeve member is axially displaceable in the housing by the pressure from one of the liquids and this movement is limited by a stop ring. The end of the sleeve member remote from the control member cooperates with an axially displaceable closing sleeve regulating the outlet area of the mixed water. Pressure means actuated by an actuating lever acts upon the closing sleeve by pivoting said lever about an axle perpendicular to the housing. The mixed water temperature being regulated by rotating said lever, at which means being arranged to axially displace the thermostat body.

  • Patent number: 4164321
Abstract: An extremely compact, simple and reliable thermostatically control valve for mixing two fluids of different temperatures comprises means for manual adjustment of volume and temperature of the mixed fluids leaving the valve, wherein said adjustment means are disposed for setting a temperature sensible member adapted to control by means of its thermal expansion the position of a control member which in turn controls the volumes of the different fluids in order to maintain the mixed fluid at the temperature set, the supply of one of said fluids being arranged through a pipe extending through said control member and opening in a first chamber communicating with a second chamber wherein said temperature sensitive member is disposed, said fluids being mixed in either of said first or second chambers, and said second chamber being provided with a further communication duct communicating with the outlet of the valve.
