  • Publication number: 20050084642
Abstract: A plate-shaped body made of plastic material including a carbon-based filler material, the body having a recessed passageway. The recess is produced by punching, so that the passageway is accurately arranged in the body.

  • Patent number: 6189321
Abstract: A distributor for supplying burners of a gas turbine with fuel, air and coolant. Prior art distributors contain a combination of ring lines and tie lines, over which the fuel is distributed to individual burners. It is very complicated and expensive to replace defective components, and in some cases the entire apparatus has to be dismantled to do so. The distributor of the invention has two or more modules, depending on the number of burners, which are assembled from distributor units and regulating units in such a way that they can be taken apart again. For each burner, at least one regulating unit is provided, from which at least one supply line for the fuel, air and coolant extends to the burner.

  • Patent number: 5714216
Abstract: The storable glass tube sealed on both sides contains the two components of a two-component adhesive and fibers or chips incorporated therein in separate sections which are in immediate contact, being located in said glass tube such that there are portions of both components present at as many as possible intersecting planes perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of said glass tube.

  • Patent number: 5482583
Abstract: The process for anchoring securing elements in drill holes, particularly screws, nails, anchors, clamp irons, and bolts, by using two-component adhesives and metal additives, is such thata) the drill holes optionally rebored, cleaned and degreased in advance are filled up to from half to three quarters with a compressible mixture of highly wear-resistant fibers or chips made of metals, polymers and/or ceramics with an average length smaller than half the drill hole diameter, subsequently, a blocker is optionally added, then both adhesive components are introduced successively or simultaneously, and then the residual portion of the required amount of fibers or chips is filled in, orb) a kneadable mixture is prepared from a compressible mixture of highly wear-resistant fibers or chips with an average length smaller than half the drill hole diameter and both adhesive components, and the mass is forced into the drill holes, and subsequently, the securing elements are inserted and optionally secured.

  • Patent number: 5372844
Abstract: In the process of the invention, multi-component resins are applied to porous, granular materials intended for subsequent consolidation. Application is carried out by feeding the components, physically separated from each other, under relatively high pressure, to a mixing chamber, mixing them by turbulent means in the mixing chamber, and applying the resulting mixture, at relatively low pressure, as a thin curtain in laminar flow to the material. The simplest form of the device of the invention comprises: a) separate feed lines for the components at relatively high pressure; b) a mixing chamber preferably designed as a static mixer; c) a fan spray nozzle working at relatively low pressure. The process and device are used to increase the sound-absorption and/or ease-of-cleaning characteristics of a railway tracks, to increase the cross-sliding resistance of railway sleepers on ballast, and to smooth the transition between a soft and hard railway track.
