  • Publication number: 20160169230
Abstract: A pump for delivering fluid has a pump housing and a pump chamber having a pump chamber cover and a pump chamber base in said pump housing, an inlet and an outlet. In the pump chamber, an impeller rotates on a rotor shaft which is connected to a drive motor. The inlet is arranged in the pump chamber cover and the outlet is arranged below the impeller in the axial direction of the pump at that end region of the pump chamber which is remote from the inlet close to the outlet. The distance from the inlet to the outlet with the impeller therebetween can correspond approximately to the diameter of the pump chamber.

  • Publication number: 20150086325
Abstract: A pump for a dishwasher is configured as an impeller pump having a central water inflow to a rotating impeller for conveying the water in the radial direction out of the impeller into a pump chamber which surrounds the impeller in a ring-like manner and has a heated pump chamber wall on its outer side. Here, the pump has an outlet in the end region of the pump chamber at an axial spacing from the impeller. Heating elements which have a decreasing power output with regard to the area power output in the axial direction of the pump toward the outlet are arranged on the pump chamber wall. An input of energy into the pump chamber can thus be varied and in the process adapted depending on a turbulent or laminar flow.

  • Publication number: 20140193247
Abstract: An impeller pump has a pump casing including a pump chamber and an inlet and an outlet thereon and an impeller therein, and including a heating device for heating the conveyed medium, which heating device forms an external wall of the pump chamber. The pump chamber extends annularly around the impeller and away from the pump chamber floor, wherein the outlet leads off on a region of the pump chamber which, viewed in the axial direction of the impeller pump, is pointing away from the pump chamber floor. The cross-sectional area of the pump chamber decreases in the axial direction of the longitudinal center axis of the impeller pump away from the pump chamber floor toward the outlet by virtue of an obliquely inwardly inclined external wall.

  • Publication number: 20130287561
Abstract: A liquid pump has a rotor in a pump housing which has a pump chamber, a pump base, a pump-chamber wall and a cover. The rotor rotates just above the pump base, the pump-chamber wall being provided around the outside of and slightly spaced apart from the rotor and having a heating means thereon. An inlet to the rotor is provided centrally in the axial direction towards the rotor and an outlet from the pump housing is provided externally at the periphery of the pump-chamber wall. Blade-like guiding elements which are integrally injection-moulded thereon are arranged on the pump base, radially outside the impeller.

  • Patent number: 7941884
Abstract: The invention in one embodiment relates to a method for operating a washing machine having a heating unit, wherein the heating unit comprises a carrier and at least one planar heating element disposed thereon. At least one first heating element is attached to the carrier in a planar manner, wherein the carrier has a recess extending in the longitudinal direction in the center region. The washing machine has a washing machine barrel and a drum therein, wherein the heating unit is displaced at the bottom in the washing machine barrel outside of the drum. A heating element is provided on the outside of the carrier in the region of the recess in the region along an apex, or along an apex of the recess, wherein only said heating element is operated in the region of the recess for creating steam in the washing machine.

  • Publication number: 20100083845
Abstract: A steam generator for cooking devices has a vessel and a heating device. Water to be evaporated is contained within a free volume of an inner chamber of the vessel, which forms a water-guiding region. This water is heated through a heating device at least up to boiling temperature, whereby steam is generated that flows along a steam-guiding region of the vessel. The heating device is a thick-film heating device applied to the surface area of the vessel on the water-guiding region. Both the water and the steam flowing past cool the heating device as the water level drops.

  • Patent number: 6940052
Abstract: A fuse mechanism for a heating device according to the invention functions as a thermal fuse. A heater is located on a support. In spatial proximity and with heat conduction to the heater are provided solder contacts with electrical leads to the support. A metallic connection bridge is firmly soldered to the solder contacts and the position thereof with respect to said contacts is such that in the use state on softening the solder connection at the solder contacts the connection bridge is separated by gravity and drops off. In this way the electrical connection from the heater to a electrical supply is separated.

  • Publication number: 20040042527
Abstract: A device for determining the temperature of a medium flowing through a duct has a probe body with a base member from which elongated probe arms project and extending in the manner of a curtain or grid through the duct. A temperature sensor is provided on the probe body. As a result of the probe arms extending in planar distributed manner over the duct cross-section, there is a type of planar, integral temperature determination with temperature averaging. This averaged temperature is measured with the temperature sensor. Thus, local medium temperature variations cannot falsify the result of the overall temperature.

  • Patent number: 5831214
Abstract: A circuit (1) includes a plate-shaped substrate (2), a thick-film conductor array (8) having first contact parts (11), with which second contact parts (13) of connecting leads (15) are connected two-dimensionally by a compression bond. The second contact parts (13) are configured tape-like by compression from a copper strand. An additional, non-conducting positional seal (30) of a potting compound (31) positively locates the connecting leads (15) in position with respect to the substrate (2), as a result of which very high currents can be handled at very high operating temperatures by simple means.
