  • Publication number: 20100128681
Abstract: At least one request between neighboring access nodes in a radio communications system is transmitted after verifying a class of the at least one request being transmitted between the neighboring access nodes, where the class assigned by an access node indicates a priority of the request. Based upon the verified class, the transmission of the request is controlled.

  • Publication number: 20100118713
Abstract: In a method of downlink operation in a communication system having a network controller, a base station and a terminal, one communication channel is scheduled by the base station; and one communication channel is scheduled by the network controller. The terminal listens to the channel scheduled by the base station at predetermined times known to the terminal and the network controller. • Publication number: 20100027505
Abstract: In a method for communication by radio a first network radio station allocates radio resources to a subscriber station and communicates with the subscriber station using a portion of the radio resources. A second network radio station uses another portion of the radio resources to send a signaling signal which is intended exclusively for the subscriber station. The first network radio station and/or the second network radio station receives a message from the subscriber station, acknowledging receipt of the signaling signal. In response to the message from the subscriber station, the communication of the subscriber station is handed over from the first network radio station to the second network radio station.

  • Publication number: 20090262690
Abstract: In a method for operating a radio communication system, network radio stations and subscriber stations communicate using a frequency band which is split into a plurality of subbands. A first network radio station receives from a second network radio station first information relating to transmission powers used by the second network radio station for at least some of the subbands. The first network radio station also receives from a subscriber station second information relating to a reception level for the subscriber station for at least one signal emitted by the second network radio station on a subband. A network radio station carries out the method.

  • Patent number: 7606534
Abstract: The reception of a first base station of a first mobile radio system in a first frequency range can be influenced by transmissions, associated with a connection, of at least one subscriber station of a second mobile radio system in a second frequency range adjacent to the first frequency range. A signaling unit of the first mobile radio station transmits a signal which is used to reduce the influence of the transmissions of the subscriber station of the second radio mobile system on the reception of the first base station in the first frequency range.

  • Publication number: 20090252115
Abstract: In a wireless communication system, signals within a connection on a wireless interface are transmitted exclusively in a packet-switched manner between a user station and an access device located on the network. The user station signals a need to measure signals to the access device, the access device sends measurement signaling to the user station, and the user station measures signals of at least one additional access device located on the network at a second frequency range while receiving data packets within the connection at a first frequency range based on the received measurement signaling, the second frequency range being disjunct from the first frequency range.

  • Publication number: 20090221294
Abstract: A method operates a radio communication system in which network radio devices use radio resources in order to communicate with subscriber stations. A first network radio device performs direct tuning with a second network radio device using the respectively used radio resources. The first and/or the second network radio device send(s) a request for a decision about radio resources to be used by the first and/or the second network radio device to a device. Subsequent to the request, the first and/or the second network radio device receive(s) information from the device about radio resources to be used by the first and/or the second network radio device. A radio communication system carries out the method.

  • Publication number: 20090180406
Abstract: Interference is reduced between two radio communication systems. A first radio communication system uses a first and a second frequency ranges which are separated by a duplex gap. A second radio communication system uses a third radio frequency range which forms part of the duplex gap. The first and second radio communication systems exchange information in order to establish an a priori knowledge about a connection on the network side. The a priori knowledge includes the radio transmission resources of the first frequency range provided on the radio communication system side and of the second frequency range and the radio transmission resources of the third frequency range (FB3) desired for call setup and completion. Radio transmission resources are selected depending on the a priori knowledge at the second radio communication system in order to reduce interferences between the first and second radio communication systems.

  • Patent number: 7548528
Abstract: Codes are assigned and scheduled for data transmissions, between a radio station and at least one subscriber station, over a wireless interface of a radio communication system, in such a way that both for transmissions in the upward direction (uplink), from subscriber stations to the radio station, and also for transmissions in the downward direction (downlink), from the radio station to subscriber stations, the lowest possible signal-to-average ratio can be achieved.

  • Publication number: 20090131027
Abstract: In a radio communications system, several codes for transmitting messages are assigned to a subscriber station. A transmission power differential is determined between the total maximum transmission power of the subscriber station for the codes and the total transmission power of the subscriber station for the codes at the beginning of a message transmission, (the differential being respected by the subscriber station), by a first one of the codes.

  • Publication number: 20090046670
Abstract: A method for data transmission in a radio communication system, in which data of a plurality of subscribers is combined with the aid of a multiplexing method to form frames, and is transmitted by means of sub-carriers. At least two frame structures are provided for transmission of the frames, with the frame structures differing in the respectively associated number of pilot signals and/or in the distribution or grouping of associated pilot signals. Each subscriber determines an individual progress speed, and each subscriber is allocated to one of at least two speed ranges, depending on the progress speed. A frame structure which is individually associated with the speed range, on the one hand, and an individually associated number of sub-carriers, on the other hand, are used in order to transmit the data from subscribers who are allocated to an identical speed range on the basis of their progress speed.

  • Publication number: 20090023438
Abstract: A method of controlling receipt of signals at a terminal (1) of communications system involves receiving data (D1,D2) on at least one control channel from a first base station (2). The terminal is adapted to periodically perform measurements on signals transmitted by at least one second base station (3,4). The terminal determines whether a period in which data signals (D2) are on the at least on control channel at least partially overlaps with a period for performing measurements (M2) and disables performance of measurements in favour of receipt of data on the at least one control channel.
