  • Patent number: 11946778
Abstract: A retaining device for coupling an encoder unit of a rotary encoder to an electric machine includes an end shield having a guide groove for receiving an encoder module of the encoder unit, and a retaining ring including a first coupling element for mechanically coupling the retaining ring to the end shield, with the first coupling element being embodied as a hole. A fastening screw is received in the hole to mechanically fasten the retaining ring to the end shield. A shielding element is integrally formed on the retaining ring for shielding against an external interference field.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 10, 2020
Date of Patent: April 2, 2024
    Assignee: Siemens Aktiengesellschaft

  • Patent number: 10958126
Abstract: A machine unit, component piece and intermediate element, and method for connecting and/or disconnecting a connection line to/from a machine unit, wherein a region includes an intermediate element and a component piece is substantially enclosed between an electrical machine and a functional element of the machine element, where the component piece can be removed or folded away from the intermediate element, where after the component piece is removed from the intermediate element, the sheathed region is advantageously accessible for connection by way of a connection line, and where a transmitter, for example, is connectable via the connection line to permit connection of the connection line in the sheathed region without the functional element having to be removed such that an electrical machine that includes the functional element can also be serviced in locations that are difficult to access.

  • Patent number: 8946969
Abstract: A squirrel-cage rotor of an asynchronous machine, in particular a die-cast rotor, includes a rotatable shaft, a laminated core being rotation-locked on the shaft and having grooves and opposing end faces. A squirrel-cage winding has rotor rods disposed in the grooves and a cage ring disposed on each of the end faces and electrically connecting the rotor rods. A pair of retaining elements is disposed on the shaft, wherein each retaining element extends in a radial direction in form of a disk or a spoke and has in an axial direction a wall and/or an axially extending finger. The wall overlaps on a radial periphery in the axial direction both the cage ring and a predefined axial section of the rotor rods that terminate in the cage ring, without increasing an external diameter of the laminated core.
