Abstract: A method is provided for determining the attitude, position, and velocity of a mobile device from knowledge of the direction of the earth's magnetic field in an absolute reference frame. Signals are supplied to a processing means for the signals by gyroscopic measuring means in three axes, accelerometric measuring means in three axes, and magnetic measuring means in three axes, where the measuring means are located on-board the device and according to three three-dimensional reference frames connected to the device reference frame.
