  • Patent number: 8303747
Abstract: A method of producing a friction lining for wet operation resinates a textile fabric of staple fibers with a resin or resin mixture and then the textile fabric is cured under pressure or at an increased temperature. The resin or resin mixture is cured in at least two steps. In a first step the resin or resin mixture is pre-polymerized to produce a pre-product and final curing of the resin or resin mixture takes place in another step once the pre-product has been placed on a substrate. The pre-polymerization of the resin or resin mixture is run without pressure and staple fibers with a length selected from a range with a lower limit of 30 mm and an upper limit of 200 mm are used.

    Inventor: Volker Föge
  • Patent number: 8025134
Abstract: The invention describes a friction lining (4) comprising a binding agent matrix (5) and friction particles (6), which binding agent matrix (5) forms a coating with a pre-definable coating thickness. A proportion of the friction particles (6) selected from a range with a lower limit of 20% and an upper limit of 100%, by reference to the total quantity of the friction particles (6), has a diameter which is bigger than the coating thickness of the binding agent matrix (5).

  • Publication number: 20060137943
Abstract: A brake shoe (2) is described for a disk brake with a support (7) for a sintered brake lining, which support can be pressurized by the piston (5) of at least one brake cylinder (4). In order to provide advantageous constructional conditions it is proposed that the support (7) comprises on the side facing the piston (5) of the brake cylinder (4) a heat-insulating, porous pressure transfer body (9) made of fibers bonded with artificial resin for the piston.

  • Publication number: 20040182672
Abstract: The invention relates to a friction body with a steel girder (1) and with a friction lining (2) made of carbon fibers which is glued onto the steel girder (1). In order to provide simple constructional conditions it is proposed that a porous intermediate layer (3) is provided between the friction lining (2) and the steel girder (1), which porous intermediate layer is joined via one adhesive layer (4, 5) each with the friction lining (2) on the one hand and with the steel girder (1) on the other hand.
