  • Patent number: 8486337
Abstract: A device is provided for analyzing the coagulation and/or behavior of blood. The blood flows through an opening (9) that is disposed in a porous part (5) while a substance which influences blood aggregation can be delivered to the blood. A preliminary diffuser chamber (3) from which blood flows to the opening (9) is mounted upstream of the opening (9), and/or a secondary diffuser chamber (4) into which blood flows from the opening (9) is mounted downstream of the opening (9). The substance is arranged on the wall of the preliminary diffuser chamber (3) and/or the secondary diffuser chamber (4) in the form of a coating (8).

  • Patent number: 7951328
Abstract: A device for automatically analyzing blood samples includes an extraction station (I), where blood can be extracted from a storage vessel (40) by an extraction device (15); a measuring station (II), where the extracted blood can be passed via a head part (46) through an aperture (26) of an aperture holder (30) arranged in a measuring part (9), the measuring part (9) being connected to the head part (46); a receiving station (III), for receiving measuring parts (9) configured as disposable parts; and a device (3) for moving the extraction device (15) and the head part (46) between the extraction station (I), the measuring station (II) and the receiving station (III).

  • Patent number: 7223365
Abstract: A method and a device are provided for examining the properties of the global, in particular the primary, hemostasis functions in whole blood or platelet-rich plasma. A volumetric blood flow is preferably adjusted, depending on the measured pressure of the volumetric flow, so that the shear rate or the shear force, whose action in the reaction opening causes blood components, in particular thrombocytes, to deposit, follows a predetermined characteristic curve and in particular is held constant.

  • Patent number: 6159741
Abstract: A process and device are disclosed for measuring blood platelet aggregation or blood coagulation. The blood flows through an opening in a part and the occlusion of the opening is measured. The pressure fall (.DELTA.P) formed during occlusion of the opening is measured at predetermined time intervals (dt) and the volume flow (I) is changed to correspond to a predetermined function which simulates the flow resistance (R.sub.v) of a capillary upstream of the opening. Alternatively, the pressure (.DELTA.P) is kept constant during the predetermined time intervals (dt) and afterwards, when the volume flow (I) has diminished by a certain value, the pressure is adjusted until it corresponds to the function.

  • Patent number: 5744098
Abstract: A measuring unit for performing plural bleeding time analyses has a vessel divided into at least two chambers by a separating wall. Each chamber has a capillary coupled to an outlet in the chamber base wall, and the outlet is also in communication with an aperture of an apertured filter unit placed adjacent the base wall.
