  • Publication number: 20090214667
Abstract: A medicotechnical product for adhesion prophylaxis for the post-operative prevention of accretions in the body comprises at least one PVA (polyvinyl alcohol) selected from the group comprising uncrosslinked PVA with a molecular weight of 15,000 to 400,000, crosslinked PVA and mixtures thereof. The molecular weight of the PVA or the mixture is selected in such a way that it can be excreted via the kidneys substantially with no degradation of the PVA molecules.

  • Publication number: 20090180480
Abstract: A network may include a plurality of nodes forming a first layer and a sub-set of the plurality of nodes forming a second layer. The first layer may follow a first routing objective in routing traffic, and the second layer may develop constraints based on the first routing objective and follow a second routing objective within the developed constraints in routing traffic. In another network, the second layer may follow a second routing objective in routing traffic, and the first layer may develop constraints based on the second routing objective and follow a first routing objective within the developed constraints in routing traffic.

  • Publication number: 20080268011
Abstract: The invention relates to an antimicrobial implant with a flexible porous structure composed of a biocompatible synthetic material which comprises particles of at least one antimicrobial agent.

  • Publication number: 20080006607
Abstract: A circuit breaker for multi-phase power includes an opening-closing apparatus configured to open and close each phase of the multiphase power, a detection unit configured to detect a fault current in at least one phase of an electrical installation, a plurality of connecting bars disposed on a load side of the circuit breaker, and a fastening device disposed on the connecting bars and configured to detachably fasten a short circuiter to the connecting bars, the short circuiter configured to create a short circuit between the connecting bars when a fault is detected by the detection unit. The option proposed according to the invention of installing a short circuiter means that the circuit breaker is fully operational, either with or without the installation of a short circuiter.

  • Publication number: 20080007881
Abstract: A circuit breaker for multi-phase power includes an opening-closing apparatus configured to open and close each phase of the multiphase power, a detection unit configured to detect a fault current in at least one phase of an electrical installation being protected by the circuit breaker, a plurality of connecting bars disposed on a load side of the circuit breaker, and a short circuiter disposed on the connecting bars and configured to produce a short circuit between the connecting bars if a fault current is detected by the fault-current detection unit. When a fault current occurs, a tripping signal can be transmitted by the detection system to the short circuiter. The circuit breaker is also fully operational, even without a function-activated short circuiter.

  • Patent number: 6913538
Abstract: In a torque transmission system, plural engagement pieces elastically deformable are formed integrally with an outer peripheral portion of a circular portion of a center hub to be engaged with an inner periphery portion of a pulley. A bridge portion of the center hub is disposed to be broken when a torque large than a predetermined torque is applied there to. Since the engagement protrusion pieces are engaged with a part of the pulley, it can prevent the center hub from being removed and falling when the bridge portion of the center hub is broken.

  • Patent number: 4080232
Abstract: A method wherein a set of threads moved to and fro by means of a traversing device is laid down on the outer convex surface of a rotating cylindrical member, said to-and-fro motion of said set of threads being in the direction parallel to the axis of rotation of the cylindrical member, and wherein said threads are retained on the convex surface by retaining means and are removed from the cylindrical member.
