  • Patent number: 6986829
Abstract: Process and container for stacking and diluting paper fiber stock. The process includes stacking a high-consistency stock in a first volume for defined dwell time, conveying stock to second volume arranged to adjoin downstream first volume, diluting stock in second volume at least to a pumpable consistency, and drawing off diluted stock as suspension through a wire. Process includes generating circulation flow in second volume, such that circulation flow facilitates conveying of stock located on boundary of first volume into second volume, diluting stock, and drawing stock through wire. Process includes rotating rotor to keep wire clear, and generating, with screw coil arranged directly in front of rotor, flow that runs in axial direction of screw coil and guides diluted suspension away from wire. The instant abstract is neither intended to define the invention disclosed in this specification nor intended to limit the scope of the invention in any way.

  • Patent number: 6577916
Abstract: A method of carrying out a fiber or paper manufacturing process using a plurality of successive method steps is provided. Defined process steps are carried out by means of predefinable chemical and physical sequences and process optimization is performed, wherein at least those characteristic variables of all the individual method steps which influence the target variables of the respective end product of the method in a significant way are registered on-line to control or optimize the overall process. Characteristic variables are formed both on the basis of the starting materials or raw materials and of the chemicals, auxiliaries and energy supplied in the successive method steps as well as of the materials and emissions to be disposed of.

  • Patent number: 6432263
Abstract: Process for increasing the water retaining ability of fibrous paper stocks. The process includes knead dispersing a fibrous paper stock having a stock concentration of at least about 20% and a temperature greater than about 45° C. A treatment for the knead dispersing is at least about 10 seconds. The process further includes completing a post-treatment phase to a machine tub of a paper machine in a reaction time of no longer than about 30 minutes.

  • Publication number: 20020056531
Abstract: In a method for the carrying out of a flotation, bleach and/or dispersion process serving for the manufacture of fiber or paper while using one or more method stages in which process steps defined by pre-settable chemical and physical routines are carried out and process optimizations are made in dependence on measured values and characteristic values formed therefrom, optionally while using state models, at least the measured values of at least one method stage, which relevantly affect the target values of the respective end product of the method, are detected online and/or the characteristic values determined from the measured values of at least one method stage are evaluated online and used directly or indirectly for the control or optimization of at least one process, with characteristic values being formed in dependence on the starting materials or raw materials and/or on the chemicals, auxiliary materials, energies and/or materials and emissions to be disposed of, which are added in at least one method

  • Patent number: 5958179
Abstract: A process for increasing a degree of whiteness of paper pulp may include bring paper fiber pulp, which may at least partially include printed waste paper, into a suspension with water. The suspension may be mixed with bleaching aids and bleaching chemicals. The bleaching chemicals may preferably contain molecular oxygen. Intensely mechanically treating the pulp, e.g., at at least 20 kWh/to, prior to bleaching the pulp suspension. The bleaching period may take at least 10 minutes, with a pressure above the atmospheric pressure being exerted during the bleaching. After bleaching, a major portion of remaining color print particles may be removed from the bleached pulp.
