  • Patent number: 7192229
Abstract: A load, such as a pallet, is releasably secured to a fixed structure, e.g. a cargo bay of a space shuttle. The pallet (5) is secured to a support (2), which holds the pallet and is secured in the cargo bay. A first interlocking device (ID1) is provided at each end of the support. A second interlocking device (ID2) is provided at each end of the pallet. The first interlocking device (ID1) includes a shaft (1) rotatably held in a shaft mounting bracket (3A) secured to a respective support end (3). The second interlocking device (ID2) includes a bracket (4) secured to an end of the pallet (5), a claw (4A) secured to the bracket, a groove in the claw (4A) and a fork (6) in the groove of the claw (4A). A central shaft section (1A) is received in the fork (6) for the interlocking. The shaft (1) is movable in the fork (6) in the direction of the x-axis and of the z-axis. The shaft is also rotatable about the x-axis and tiltable relative to the y-axis. The fork is turnable about the z-axis.

  • Patent number: 4051887
Abstract: Deep-drawable sheets and strip are produced on a continuous casting machine with moving flexible belts and continuous finish-rolling without change of direction from a zinc-copper-titanium rolling alloy which is creep-resistant according to DIN 17 770 and foldable according to DIN 1 623. The alloy contains 1.5 to 5.5% copper, 0.05 to 0.25% titanium and, if desired, 0.005 to 0.05% aluminum, balance zinc. The zinc-copper-titanium alloy, wherein an increase in copper content is accompanied by a decrease in titanium content, is continuously cast into a slab having a thickness of 6-24 mm and a width from about 0 to 2000 mm, preferably 500-1500 mm. The slab is caused to solidify simultaneously and uniformly from both sides at a constant volumetric solidification rate and the slab is subjected to hot-rolling at temperatures above 100.degree. C and at least 3, preferably 5 passes, each of which results in a reduction in cross-section not in excess of 80%.
