  • Patent number: 7874150
Abstract: An exhaust system has an exhaust tailpipe cover provided in an outlet region and, on the inside, contains inner exhaust pipes which are disposed spaced apart from the exhaust tailpipe cover by a passage. The passage in the exhaust tailpipe cover results in the exhaust tailpipe cover being exposed to as little thermal loading as possible and avoids transmitting heat to a surrounding vehicle rear part, in particular made of plastic.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 24, 2007
Date of Patent: January 25, 2011
Assignee: Dr. Ing. h.c.F. Porsche AG

  • Patent number: 6822229
Abstract: A glow discharge source for the elemental analysis of solid samples of material by means of optical glow discharge spectroscopy (GD-OES) or glow discharge mass spectroscopy (GD-MS) or secondary neutral particle mass spectroscopy (SNMS), a glow discharge being produced by means of a connected electrical voltage source on the sample of material between the latter and an anode and evaluated spectrometrically, wherein a current transformer component for detecting the current flowing between the glow discharge and the voltage source is disposed at or in the anode or connected electrically with the anode.

  • Publication number: 20030116706
Abstract: The invention relates to a glow discharge source for elemental analysis on solid material samples, which can be operated with a direct voltage, a pulsed direct voltage, or a HF voltage. The aim of the invention is to produce a glow discharge source for elemental analysis on solid material samples, whereby a glow discharge is generated between the material sample (4) and an anode (1), by means of a connected electrical voltage source (6), such that the blind current is minimised and the current flowing through the cooling water is not included in the measurement. Said aim is achieved, whereby a current transformer element (9), for recording the current flowing between the glow discharge (7) and the voltage source (6) is arranged in or on the anode (1), or the components electrically connected to the anode. The glow discharge source may be used for optical glow discharge spectroscopy (GD-OES), glow discharge mass spectroscopy (GD-MS), or secondary neutral mass spectroscopy (SNMS).

  • Patent number: 6492747
Abstract: The invention relates to a fuse having an input connection (1), an output connection (2) and two parallel current paths which connect both connections to one another. The current paths are namely a main current path (3) and a partial current path. The electric fuse comprises a single fuse element (5) arranged in the main current path (3). In addition, a switch (6) which is arranged inthe partial current path is provided. The switch (6) is configured in such a way that it opens when given limiting values are exceeded, said limiting values pertaining to the current flowing through the fuse and/or to the temperture of the fuse element.
