  • Publication number: 20220282434
Abstract: An expansion joint bridging device is provided in the form of a plate-type roadway joint which bridges an expansion joint between two building components. The expansion joint is spanned by crossbeams which are braced in a load-bearing relationship on both building components. Supported on the crossbeams is at least one plate disposed above the crossbeams, the plate having two plate portions which lie flush with one another and are interconnected in a force-transmitting relationship. The plate portions are connected in situ by means of at least one cover plate which bridges the joint between the plate portions and connects the two plate portions in a force-transmitting relationship. At least one of the connections between the cover plate and the plate portions is hinged, having a rotational degree of freedom about an axis extending horizontally transversely to the orientation of the relevant plate.

  • Patent number: 10717622
Abstract: A delivery device for a sheet-processing machine, comprises at least one deposition station and a conveyer station, by the use of which, upstream-processed sheets of printed material can be picked up in a transfer location, and can be conveyed through the deposition station via a first conveying system, where they can be deposited optionally to form a stack, or can be conveyed beyond that stack. A holding device, which holds down the uppermost sheet of the stack during the transfer of a sheet to be conveyed against an entrainment or a lifting, is provided with one or with a plurality of holding assemblies which are spaced apart from each other transversely to the transport direction. A sheet-guiding element may be provided, which adjoins the deposition station and which is variable in its vertical position with at least its upstream end by the use of an actuating drive.

  • Patent number: 6952475
Abstract: The invention relates to a method which can be used to declare a session key (K) between a first computer unit (U) and a second computer unit (N) without it being possible for an unauthorized third party to obtain useful information regarding the keys or the identity of the first computer unit (U). This is achieved by embedding the principle of El-Gamal key interchange in the method with additional formation of a digital signature using a hash value whose input variable contains at least variables which can be used to infer the session key unambiguously.

  • Patent number: 6526509
Abstract: The method provides that a session code (K) can be agreed between a first computer unit (U) and a second computer unit (N), without it being possible for any unauthorized third party to gain access to useful information relating to the codes or the identity of the first computer unit (U). This is achieved by embedding the principle of the El-Gamal code interchange in the method, with additional formation of a digital signature via a hash value of the session code (K) which is formed by the first computer unit (U).

  • Patent number: 6401204
Abstract: In a method for cryptographic code management between a first computer unit and a second computer unit, the method is divided into individual modular phases. Authentification references that are employed in further cryptographic phases are exchanged during an authentification of the first computer unit and the second computer unit. As a result thereof and due to the modular structure, a respectively new authentification actually required in the further cryptographic phases is no longer necessary and is also not implemented.

  • Patent number: 6064741
Abstract: The method is for the exchange of cryptographic keys, in which the length of the transmitted messages is significantly reduced and the security properties of the method are considerably increased in comparison with known methods. In a network computer unit and in a user computer unit, a first interim key and a second interim key are formed as a function of generated random numbers.A session key is calculated by a bit-by-bit exclusive-OR operation on the first interim key and the second interim key. The keys are never transmitted in plain text. By use of a function, which for example may be a symmetric cryptographic function, a hash function or a one-way function, the network computer unit and the user computer unit authenticate each other.

  • Patent number: 5927205
Abstract: An apparatus for developing a cylindrical surface in a printing press that has a device for writing and/or imaging on a rotatable printing form cylinder, the cylinder having a silicon-containing operating surface, the apparatus comprising a rotatable cleaning roller, an elastic cover and a fabric blanket over the cleaning roller, the cleaning roller having an optionally wettable cleaning surface, means for rotating the cleaning roller synchronously with or in opposition to the rotation of the printing form cylinder, means for selectively establishing and breaking contact between the cleaning roller and the printing form cylinder, whereby silicon particles created on the operating surface during writing and/or imaging are removed by contact between the operating surface and the cleaning cylinder.

  • Patent number: 5600189
Abstract: An electromagnetic actuator (1) comprises two actuator sections which are translatable relative to one another along an actuator axis (1a) and which are rotatable about the actuator axis, a first actuator section (1) comprising a coil system and a second actuator section (3) comprising a permanent magnet system for cooperation with the coil system via an air gap. The coil system is arranged on a magnetically conductive yoke (5) and comprises a cylindrical translation coil (9) and a toroidal rotation coil (7), which are coaxial with the actuator axis. The permanent magnet system comprises an annular magnet (11), which is coaxial with the actuator axis, for cooperation with both the translation coil and the rotation coil. The magnet has a radial magnetisation (B) which is interrupted by an annular segment (13). The magnetically conductive yoke has a central core (5b) around which the translation coil is arranged and a shell (5a) on which the rotation coil is disposed.
