  • Patent number: 6000584
Abstract: A gun for producing adhesive foam has a nozzle tube, a delivery lever, a nozzle needle coaxial in the nozzle tube, and pressed by a force storage member into its dosing position. A coupling device is positioned between the delivery lever and the nozzle needle, by which a given position of the delivery lever corresponds to a given position of the nozzle needle. A cavity borders on the nozzle tube. A wall section is arranged between the coupling device and the cavity and bounds the cavity. A guide and a seal are arranged in the wall section. The guide is integrated into the seal.

  • Patent number: 5788214
Abstract: A device for connecting a adhesive foam can to a gun for the application of adhesive foam includes fastening means for fastening the connecting device to the gun, and an external thread for fastening the connecting device to the foam can, and a closing device that makes possible, in the operating state, the escape of the adhesive foam fluid into the gun. The thread has at least two regions of different materials, a first region of a material with flexible anti-adhesion properties and a second region of a material that at least partially ensures precise mechanical guiding of the thread.

  • Patent number: 5762319
Abstract: A valve insert for a pressurized fluid container has a valve plate deep drawn from sheet metal, a valve body with a central tube that is molded around partial regions of the valve plate, a valve piston guided in the valve body and a valve spring attached to the valve body and acting on the valve piston. The valve plate has one end region with a bell-shaped edge shoulder connected to a flanged edge of the container, another end region with a flanged edge anchored to the central tube of the valve body and a middle region with a beading with a pitch running at least partially around it.

  • Patent number: 5683544
Abstract: There are adhesive foams that are formulated for gun uses and adhesive foams that are formulated for adapter use. This means a double track in production, storage and use of adapter foams. The invention is a gun version that permits use of adhesive foams such as used in the adapter version. For this purpose, the needle and the nozzle tube in the gun have a shape such that the nozzle tube has at least one mixing path, and the amount of foam can be sensitively metered by means of narrowings and widenings between the inner wall of the nozzle tube and the outer wall of the needle.

  • Patent number: 5549226
Abstract: The outlet tubes of pressurized cans containing, for example, polyurethane which is to be foamed, very frequently become clogged. The unconsumed residue of the substance intended to be dispensed consequently becomes unusable. This is prevented in accordance with the invention by the use of tubes which are sufficiently stiff to enable them to be folded back over themselves to form a solvent-tight pinch fold, in which folded-back position the tube is held by a holding device. In addition, the free end of the tube can also be closed.

  • Patent number: 5429277
Abstract: Member for mixing and dispensing a two-component mass from a tool arranged to separately squeeze-out the two components. The member includes a mixing tube (1) enclosing a coaxial tube section (2) connected to the front end (3) of the tool for conveying one of the components from a tool outlet (3b) to the mixing tube (1). Another tool outlet (3a) conveys the other component directly into the mixing tube (1). The tube section (2) has a one-way valve at an outlet opening (2b) into the mixing tube (1). The one-way valve includes an expandable tubular sheath (5) covering the outlet opening (2b) through the tube section (2). The one-way valve prevents any backflow of the mixed components from the mixing tube into the tube section. Mixed components which harden within the mixing tube (1) form a seal or block. Accordingly, when the tool squeezing out the component is operated with a blocked or sealed mixing tube, no backflow into the tool can occur.

  • Patent number: 5215225
Abstract: The apparatus includes a first chamber which is formed by a container and includes further a second chamber in a cylinder shaped body and defined by two chamber defining members located displaceable in the cylinder shaped body and sealed at their circumference against the inner surface thereof. These chamber defining members are frictionally engaged by an operating member which projects through the close-off member of the valve of the apparatus towards the outside. By a pulling of this operating member the second chamber, in which a second component is positioned, is dislocated relative to the cylinder shaped body and the first chamber, in which a first component is located, until the second component is forced out of the cylinder shaped body. The arrangement guarantees, that the second component is completely fed into the first component to produce a mixture consisting of these two components.

  • Patent number: 5014887
Abstract: The valve includes a valve body formed onto a lid of a container, a closure member which is located in the valve body and a spiral spring which presses the closure member into the valve body so as to keep the valve closed. A first sealing section is formed on a section of the closure member and cooperates with a valve seat in the valve body. A second sealing section is formed on the valve body and cooperates with a part of a spray gun or similar device, into which the valve body section is inserted in order to prevent a leaking or fluid at that point. The valve does not need any sealing members made of elastomeric materials or rubber. In this way, deterioration of such sealing members, which is caused by the fluid and leads to loss of sealing capability, is avoided. Containers which are equipped with such valves can be stored in any arbitrary position.

  • Patent number: 4955544
Abstract: A dosage gun includes a housing having a longitudinal bore therein which terminates at one end in an emission nozzle and pressure tanks which hold components of the dosage material. A dosage device is held in the bore and is designed as a nozzle needle for the gun. The dosage device contains a hollow needle and a dosage needle which is arranged in the hollow needle so that co-axial streams of material, one flowing inside the other, are ejected at the emission nozzle. In relation to the hollow needle, the dosage needle is, on the one hand, movable in order to conduct the components of the dosage material to the emission nozzle and, on the other hand, rotatable in order to adjust the amounts fed to the emission nozzle. A mouthpiece is preferably provided on the emission nozzle to form a widened mixing chamber. As a static mixer, the mouthpiece contributes to good thorough mixing.
