  • Patent number: 7861418
Abstract: A reciprocatory saw, in particular, a jigsaw, is made up of a pitman with a chuck arranged for the releasable clamping of a saw blade. The chuck contains a movably mounted chuck jaw arrangement able to be clamped laterally against the saw blade shank, a wedge element arrangement adjacent to and for cooperation with the chuck means, a first spring acting downwardly on the inserted saw blade and a second spring acting on the wedge element arrangement downwardly. The wedge element arrangement is connected with the chuck jaw arrangement in a manner for the transmission of rotary movement and from the outside and is able to be shifted between a bottom clamping position clamping the chuck jaw arrangement against the saw blade shank and a top release position freeing the chuck jaw arrangement. The wedge element arrangement assumes an angular position turned in relation to the clamping position and is seated on a stationary holding face.

  • Publication number: 20080189960
Abstract: A reciprocatory saw exhibits a drive means for a saw blade to perform a reciprocatory motion. The two side faces of the saw blade are provided with respective guide elements for lateral guidance of the saw blade. The two guide elements are respectively constituted by an eccentric element able to turn about an eccentric member axle, parallel to the longitudinal axis of the saw blade and so loaded by a spring means that the turning of the respective eccentric elements with an increase in the distance between the two eccentric elements takes place against the spring force.

  • Publication number: 20080189962
Abstract: A reciprocatory saw and in particular a jig saw comprises a drive means for driving a saw blade with an elongated configuration to perform a reciprocating movement. The saw blade possesses two mutually parallel side faces and its leading edge is designed for working a workpiece with a sawing action. The back edge of saw blade is provided with a pendulum roller which is arranged on a pendulum roller holder which is carried on a pendulum axis for reciprocating pendulum movement and during operation performs a pendulum movement so that the saw blade performs a reciprocating movement with a modulating pendulum component. For the lateral guidance of the saw blade two guide elements are present which are arranged on a guide holder supported in a pivotal manner on the pivot axis parallel to the pendulum axis.
