  • Publication number: 20240068025
Abstract: The present invention relates to and includes methods and compositions for sequence-specific labeling of DNA, in particular genomic DNA. Such labeling result from the application of agents that covalently bind or interact with predetermined target nucleic acid sequences within the DNA, enabling detecting a relative distance between the labels on the linearized DNA, thus providing a barcode of a portion of the genomic DNA, and the use thereof for the analysis of genomic DNA. Preferably, the covalently binding or interaction is with the grooves of double-stranded DNA (dsDNA). In some embodiments, the analysis of genomic DNA according to the invention can be used for species identification, where these species are single species, or identified in mixtures of species, as to identify the presence of species or the composition of the mixture of species.

  • Publication number: 20230250493
Abstract: The present disclosure concerns a method for detecting and characterizing a virus comprising the steps of providing a sample to analyze that is likely to contain a virus, extracting and preparing nucleic acids from the sample, sequence-specifically labeling the nucleic acid, e.g. by introducing fluorophores by contacting the nucleic acid with a methyltransferase or by introducing fluorescently labelled nucleotides after treatment with nickase, performing a genomic mapping analysis of the extracted nucleic acids and performing a computational analysis to detect the presence of and characterise at least one virus. The present disclosure also concerns a kit for carrying out the above method.

  • Patent number: 10183965
Abstract: Cofactor analogs for methyltransferases are disclosed. The compounds are represented by formula (I) wherein R1 is COOH or COO—; X is an organic or inorganic anion carrying one or more negative charges; Y and Y? are H, or an alkyl; R2 is NH2, NHBoc, or H; and Z is S or Se. R comprises a carbon-carbon double bond, carbon-oxygen double bond, carbon-sulfur double bond, carbon-nitrogen double bond, a carbon-carbon triple bond, carbon-nitrogen triple bond, an aromatic carbocyclic or heterocyclic system in ?-position to the sulfonium center, unsaturated c-c bond, or c-heteroatom bond where the heteroatom is O, N, S.

  • Publication number: 20160016916
Abstract: The invention generally relates to nuclear transport modulators, e.g., CRM1 inhibitors, and, more particularly, to a compound represented by structural formula (I), or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, wherein the variables are as defined and described herein. The invention also includes the synthesis and use of a compound of structural formula I, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or composition thereof, e.g., in the treatment, modulation and/or prevention of physiological conditions associated with CRM1 activity.
