  • Patent number: 10285612
Abstract: When detecting ischemia and/or myocardial infarction in a subject, electrocardiogram (ECG) segments are analyzed for elevated ST segments indicative of ischemia and/or infarction. To mitigate false positive alerts, an ECG segment comprising an elevated ST segment that triggers an alert is presented to a clinician for verification as being indicative of ischemia or infarction, or as being attributable to a confounding condition not indicative of ischemia or infarction. Clinician feedback is used to adjust an elevated ST segment detection algorithm to improve accuracy and mitigate false positive alerts.

  • Patent number: 9924908
Abstract: A patient monitor system (10) includes a signal processor (30) which analyzes signals from physiological parameter sensors (20) to derive physiological data values, plots, and alarms. A display (12) displays physiological values and plots (42). An advisor engine, routine, or processor (34) is connected with the signal processor to analyze at least alarm occurrences, also in combination with user interactions, and provide directly actionable advice for reducing alarm frequency which is displayed unobtrusively on the display. The directly actionable advice includes specific actions or adjustments which are specific to a current patient, a present situation, or a present mode or setting of the patient monitor system. The unobtrusively displayed directly actionable advice is displayed without the use requesting it.

  • Patent number: 9750423
Abstract: A medical display system (16) and method display physiological signals. A physiological signal of a patient (14) is received, the physiological signal spanning a period of time. Signal quality of the physiological signal over the period of time is determined. An ECG signal (52) is displayed using a compressed time scale and the determined signal quality (54)n over time is displayed adjacent to the displayed physiological signal.

  • Patent number: 9445764
Abstract: When monitoring physiological parameters (e.g., blood pressure, heart rate, etc.) of a patient, a threshold limit (30) is set (e.g., automatically or manually) and the monitored parameter is continuously compared to the threshold limit, which may be constant or may vary with time. An alarm (36) is triggered if the monitored parameter exceeds the threshold limit at any time, or if the monitored parameter has not reached a target value by the end of a predefined time period by which an administered drug or therapy should have been effective.
