  • Patent number: 7636035
Abstract: A tire pressure control system for a vehicle having wheels with tires includes a controller and tire pressure sensors each having a transceiver. The sensors are within respective tires. Each sensor transmits information regarding the pressure of its tire to the controller. The controller transmits to the sensors a signal having markings based on rotation of a selected wheel. The signal as received by each sensor includes variations resulting from rotation of its associated wheel. The variations of the signal as received by the sensor corresponding to the selected wheel agree with the markings and the variations of the signal as received by each of the remaining sensors vary with the markings. Each sensor correlates the variations of the signal as received by the sensor with the markings. The sensor in which the variations of the signal agree with the markings transmits a confirmation regarding same to the controller.

  • Patent number: 6803851
Abstract: A method and device for checking keyless vehicle access authorization of an operator. The method includes transmitting a code signal from a base station to a mobile identification (ID) transmitter carried by the operator. In response to receiving the code signal, the ID transmitter performs an action which is indicative of a reply signal that is detectable by the base station. The difference of a signal characteristic between a reference code signal monitored at the base station and the reply signal received by the base station is then determined. The signal characteristic correlates with signal propagation time and changes as a function of the distance between the base station and the ID transmitter. The distance between the base station and the ID transmitter is then determined on the basis of a relative determination based on the difference of the signal characteristic between the reference code signal and the reply signal.

  • Publication number: 20040006707
Abstract: A keyless access authorization control system includes transceivers and an identification device. The transceivers are assigned to respective objects. The identification device has a base module operable to communicate with the transceivers. For each object the identification device has a respective memory chip containing a code attuned to the object. The identification device further has an object module(s). The object module(s) is assigned to a respective one of the objects and has a memory chip having the code attuned to the respective object. The object module(s) is interchangeably connected to the base module through an interface(s) in order to communicate the code(s) to the transceiver(s) assigned to the object(s).

  • Patent number: 6538560
Abstract: A keyless vehicle access control system includes a transceiver in a vehicle and a mobile transponder. The transceiver includes transmitters for transmitting respective code signals and a key interrogation signal and is operable for receiving response and crypto-code signals. The transponder is operable for receiving the code and the key interrogation signals and for transmitting response and crypto-code. Upon the transponder receiving a code signal from a respective transmitter the transponder transmits a response signal indicative of the respective transmitter to the transceiver unit. Upon the transponder receiving a interrogation signal from the transceiver unit the transponder transmits a crypto-code signal to the transceiver unit. Upon the transceiver unit receiving a crypto-code signal from the transponder the transceiver checks the crypto-code signal to determine vehicle access authorization of the transponder.

  • Patent number: 5872436
Abstract: A system for monitoring and controlling the opening and closing of an electrically driven device, such as a window or a sliding roof of an automobile, contains various mechanical components and is equipped with an electrical servo motor which can be controlled by operating elements and a sensor device which are connected to an electronic control unit that processes signals under safety aspects and to which a power semiconductor is connected. To minimize the forces exercised on any trapped object, the rating of the servo motor is controlled by the power semiconductor so that the regulating speed of a servotransmission of the device can be adjusted during its adjustment range in dependence on specified positions of the device.
