  • Publication number: 20030058089
Abstract: A display system for the internal tire pressure of tires of a vehicle. In order to display of pressure values for the driver so that the driver receives easily perceivable information concerning the internal tire pressure and its deviation, the driver receives an indication of the deviation between the actual internal tire pressure and the desired internal tire pressure.

  • Patent number: 4854646
Abstract: A rim for a motor vehicle wheel with several through-openings which are arranged on a concentric aperture circle of the wheel circumferentially with respect to a wheel brake and which form air inlet and outlets. The openings are constructed semi-circularly shaped and include an arcuately shaped outer boundary surface and an arcuately shaped inner boundary surface. The outer boundary surface is formed each by a section of the aperture circle and the further inner boundary surface adjoins this section. The arc of this boundary surface extends up to a concentric inner circle of the wheel which has a smaller radius.

  • Patent number: 4701742
Abstract: A pneumatically operated pressure switch for monitoring the air pressure in a tire is provided with a second switch in its housing capsule. The second switch is connected to an oscillating circuit. This second switch changes the oscillating circuit upon sensing a change in the gas pressure in the reference pressure chamber. This leads to an error indication to the driver, and thereby provides a self-monitoring pressure switch for monitoring the air pressure in a tire.

  • Patent number: 4630471
Abstract: An apparatus for the heat-insulated placement of an electronic emitter that is a component of a tire pressure control device for a motor vehicle. The emitter is attached to the axle of the motor vehicle by a housing which contains an insulating material to form a heat shield to protect the emitter. The presence of the heat shield allows the emitter to be located in close proximity to the caliper of a disc brake system of the motor vehicle, a location which would otherwise be unavailable due to high ambient temperatures.
