  • Publication number: 20170339529
Abstract: A system includes a plurality of wireless transceivers deployed in a vehicle cabin and a processor configured to receive a relay signal from a transceiver, including a device identification and a received signal strength indicator (RSSI) associated with a device signal. The processor is also configured to use the RSSI and device identification, associated with a single device, included in relay signals from multiple transceivers to determine a device location and store the device location and corresponding possessor identification and location in memory.

  • Publication number: 20170210354
Abstract: A motor vehicle includes at least one air-conducting structure. That at least one air conducting structure is arranged downstream of a vehicle wheel in the direction of travel, for conducting at least some of the air in a wake of the vehicle wheel to a dust collector. A control unit is provided for automatic adjustment, in a manner depending on the speed of travel of the vehicle and/or of the spacing between a lower edge of the air-conducting structure and a roadway surface being driven over by the vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20170174046
Abstract: The document relates to a method and a device for starting an air exchange operation of a ventilation, heating and/or air-conditioning system which feeds recirculation air and/or fresh air to a space for at least one person. The air exchange operation is started if the person activates a dedicated operator control element, provided with a characteristic symbol for air exchange operation, and includes appreciably increasing previously applicable setting values both with respect to the portion of fresh air in the air fed to the space and also for an air flow targeted at least one person in the vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20170167975
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a motor vehicle comprising a dust sensor. The dust sensor is a scattered light photometer according to the disclosure. The scattered light photometer measures the dust load of the air in a region of the motor vehicle in which resuspended or emitted dust has a tendency to occur during travel. In addition, the motor vehicle contains a device for dust reduction, which receives measured data from the scattered light photometer, and decides, on the basis of the measured data, whether measures are to be taken against dust resuspension or dust emission. The device takes corresponding measures if the dust load exceeds a threshold value.

  • Publication number: 20170166209
Abstract: A motor vehicle includes a dust sensor. The dust sensor is configured to observe a part of a roadway surface situated ahead of the vehicle in a direction of travel to create observation data. The motor vehicle further includes an estimation device configured to generate an estimate of the road dust load in the observed part of the roadway surface based on the observation data.

  • Publication number: 20160213802
Abstract: A vehicle system includes a container adapted to hold a fluid fragrance substance, a pump connected to the container, a capillary pipe connected to the pump and sized to retain the fluid fragrance substance within the capillary pipe when the pump is off, and an evaporation grid connected to the capillary pipe. The evaporation grid may have open porosity and be at least partially positioned within a vehicle ventilation channel to selectively provide fragrance to the vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20150251661
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a device for permitting a performance-enhancing nap in a motor vehicle. When a vehicle occupant requests a nap function, different vehicle parameters are set such that the performance-enhancing nap is promoted and the vehicle occupant enjoying the nap is woken at a specific time. According to the invention, during the nap function at least one physiological parameter of the vehicle occupant is measured, said parameter permitting conclusions to be drawn about the current depth of sleep, irrespective of any macromovements of the vehicle occupant, and the time at which the vehicle occupant is woken is selected by considering the at least one physiological parameter, such that the vehicle occupant is woken as far as possible at a time of light sleep.
