    Abstract: An electrostatically applicable coating powder is provided which contains a first powder which forms a glass layer upon firing, and 0.01 to 1% by weight of a salt of a carboxylic acid. The coating powder is free of organosiloxane and preferably contains a chemically or thermally activatable resin. The invention also provides methods for preparing the coating powder and methods for coating glass, ceramic or metal substrates with the powder.
