  • Patent number: 4653988
Abstract: An improved mounting system for attaching a temperature switch to a fan structure is disclosed having a housing which may be directly attached to the protective grille of the fan. The housing may be detachably mounted on the fan structure such that it locates a temperature sensor of the temperature switch in the airstream generated by the fan. The temperature switch is connected to a control system which controls the fan in conjunction with the temperature of the airstream.

  • Patent number: 4475358
Abstract: The invention relates to an air conditioner for cooling electrical parts which are situated in a cabinet. A coolant circulation consisting of evaporator, condenser and compressor is provided. The air heated by the electrical parts is blown past the evaporator inside a housing and is returned into the cabinet to be cooled. A condenser is provided for heat dissipation. The housing of the air conditioner is subdivided into a first area and into a second area by a wall, whereby the wall seals the respective air streams from one another. All components sensitive to dirt, dust, etc. are accommodated in the first area, whereas the condenser and an aerator are situated in the second area.

  • Patent number: 4221546
Abstract: In an axial fan, the flow channel is constricted on the suction side in necked-down manner and is widened on the pressure side in diffuser-like manner. The electrical driving motor arranged in the center of the impeller has an overhung rotor, whose rotor shaft is supported in a punctiform bearing arranged on the suction side.

  • Patent number: 4214690
Abstract: A magnetic-tape cassette machine of the type including a horizontally extending tape drive shaft and a loading platform designed to hold the cassette upright during tape transport. To prevent the horizontally extending tape drive shaft from shifting axially during tape transport, one end of the shaft is supported against a first axial bearing secured to the machine housing and the other end is supported by an axial bearing secured to the loading platform. Alternatively, a single axial bearing is used limiting axial shifting of the tape drive shaft in one direction, and a permanent-magnet arrangement pulls the tape drive shaft in the same direction to prevent the shaft from shifting axially in the opposite second direction.

  • Patent number: 4007390
Abstract: In the case of a collector-less D-C motor designed as a disc motor with an external rotor, the permanently magnetized external rotor is supported in an axially space-saving manner in a bearing tube attached to the stator bedplate. For the purpose of facilitating centering of the stator bedplate in the air gap of the rotor during manufacture, a flange plate inserted onto the bearing tube serves for anchoring purposes, and the stator bedplate is secured to this flange plate.
